Hello batch of 2024!
The journey from school to college must have been long and tiring. But the tension isn't over yet so we're here to help you out and clear all your doubts. To make your decisions easier, we are here to give you an idea about our college, RMLNLU, Lucknow.

Beginning with the infrastructure, it is one of the greatest assets of RML. The green and clean campus assures you a good place for the next five years. The campus is not just beautiful but also spacious. From the hostel rooms to the classrooms, you'll find enough space to accommodate yourself. The campus provides you with a good canteen, grocery shops, a laundry and a stationery shop for the daily requirements. Classrooms are air-conditioned and you can keep coolers in your hostel rooms. Mess food is good in the girls hostel while not-so-good in the boys. In-time at hostels for girls is 12 whereas no in-time for boys. Chicken is in the menu once a week, with an extra payment.
The campus provides you with all kinds of courts for different sports. To name a few of them, football/cricket ground, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court, tennis court and squash court. There is also an Olympic-size swimming pool and a newly built gym area for the students.
Now, if you find solace in reading and learning, RML's library will be a perfect place for you. RML provides you with one of the richest libraries along with the access to online sources like SCC Online, Westlaw, etc. It provides you with a digi-lab and the reading section separately.

Talking about the faculty, it is good enough like most of the NLUs. Some of the teachers are highly acclaimed and you'd love their classes.
You'll get to enjoy a lot of parties at RML and various other events organised by the committees. If you want to indulge in extra-curricular activities, you'll get ample opportunities to prove your mettle. From moots to debates, there are countless number of events to participate in. Moreover, you get reimbursed for most of them. We don't have mid sems so we don't face much exam pressure during the year.
If you're wondering how will you get the time for so many things then you must know that you'll have enough time at RML, if you spend it wisely.

Hello Batch of 2023!

CLAT is over. Ranks are out. You are sure that you will be getting a college too! (Kudos!). Still feel a chaos around? The question of choosing your college baffling you?

Well, we also went through the same. So, to make your decision a bit easier, we feel like giving you an idea about our college, RMLNLU, Lucknow.

Beginning with the campus, well, this is something that you’ll feel proud of for the next five years. Inside the campus, there’s enough space to make your stay convenient. You’ll also find places of use easily in near proximity. Football ground (shared by cricketers too), volleyball, basketball, tennis courts, badminton, table tennis, swimming pool and a brand new squash court awaits you. (pretty sure that we missed a few things too).

Didn’t find it cool? Probably you are a nerd then. For you, RML provides one of the richest libraries with access to online resources as well. Faculty… Some are brilliant, having published well known books but with some, you’ll be highly unsatisfied (but at the same time almost every college has a similar faculty).

Now, will you get time for all these? No. You’ll also get time to attend two to three parties every month 😂. We don’t have mid-sems! No exam pressure for the whole year. But this is where you are supposed to spend your time wisely.😉

Not enough? Wanna do something else? Do moots! Go for Debates! And get reimbursed too. First years will also get some of the competitions exclusively reserved for them.

Hostels are also comfortable. Though, non-AC. But you can keep coolers. You may not like the biasness towards boys as we don’t have any in-time (12 for girls). Mess food is okay-ish. No Chicken in the menu (Do ask the people present in the orientation why is it so).

In solidarity with the students of NLIU and for saving the "National Law Universities".

On behalf of the Student Bar Association - HNLU, the Student Bar Council - NLUJAA & the Student Welfare Committee - RMLNLU

Institutional Arbitrary Actions and student movement s at the ‘prestigious' National Law Universities of this country have become a regular scene onto the floor, with each year witnessing, silent protests and strikes being launched in the campus and on social media in one or the other National Law University. The common ground for these protest are similar in nature as well as principle, the misadministration of the University, blatant misuse or corruption with regards to the funds that have been provided for the welfare of the students, the funds being used for anything but the welfare of the students, and the reason for all of these problems appears to be connected as well: the syndicate that forms amongst the state bureaucracy and the university administration.

The only feasible solution to the same, is the centralization of these ‘Autonomous’ institutions under the aegis of the Parliament itself. If the same can be done for engineering, management and science, then why not do it for Law as well, it's as important a profession for the development of this Country as any other profession and field of study, which has been accorded with the status of ‘National Importance'. Only then can the misadministration that these Isolated Islands of Excellence have endured over the past three decades, be put to a rest.

Nationalizing the Law school isn't just a demand but a right that has been denied to us for long enough and the results are apparent in front of the entire world to witness. A lobby of Bureaucrats and Academicians' turning these potential islands of excellence into "kingdoms of nepotism” without any kind of mechanism for checks and balances. We support and stand by the demand of the status of Institutes of National Importance for all NLUs made by counterparts at NLSIU, NAI SAR & WBNUJS. We also demand that every National Law University should have a Student's Association, constituted through free and fair elections, so that an efficient channel of communication and negotiation is established between the students and the administration.

With this we extend our support to the Students of NLIU and their cause and the cause of National Law Universities as a whole, we salute the students of NLIU and their decision to speak up. We really hope that you win this battle because a portion of us will also be victorious. With the support of our student fraternity, we the students of H N.L.U., Raipur, N.L.U.J.A., Assam R.M.L.N.L.U., Lucknow acknowledge the undaunted efforts of the students at NLIU and stand by them and with a stronger hope for a better future, expect that the grievances shall be addressed in a progressive and transparent manner.

While you take your first step into 5 years of law school, mark your calendars for the 11th of July for that is when you shall be introduced to the Debate and Discussion Committee.
All your questions relating to the committee, parliamentary debating, life(not really) shall be answered and we will ask some of our own!
