On September 26, 2024, the University Institute of Law at Panjab University Regional Centre (PURC), Ludhiana, hosted a Slogan Writing Competition with the theme "Swabhav Swachta, Sanskaar Swachta," focusing on the significance of cleanliness in both personal behavior and the environment. The event was held under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Aman Amrit Cheema, Director of PURC, whose leadership was crucial to the initiative’s success.
The competition was coordinated by NSS Programme Officer Dr. Pooja Sikka, along with faculty members Mrs. Shalini Verma and Adv. Sunil Mittal, with support from student coordinators Jesus Goyal (Department Representative) and Jessica (BALLB 7th sem). Their combined efforts ensured the smooth ex*****on of the event, fostering active participation among the students.
The theme "Swabhav Swachta, Sanskaar Swachta" emphasized the need for both external cleanliness and ethical conduct, linking clean habits with a clean environment. Newly admitted students enthusiastically contributed creative and impactful slogans, reflecting their awareness of the importance of responsible and sustainable living.
The winners of the competition were Niranjan, who secured first place, Inderjeet Pal, who took second place and Survi got third position.
The NSS unit expressed its gratitude to all faculty, students, and staff for their support, making the event a success. This initiative highlights PURC’s ongoing commitment to fostering environmental awareness and encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
