A ‘cold’ is a common viral infection that makes you cough and sneeze.
Here are some collocations used to talk about having a cold.
Have a cold:
'I’ve had a cold all week.'
Catch a cold:
'I’m going to stay inside. I don’t want to catch a cold.'
Come down with a cold:
'I think I might be coming down with a cold.'
In bed with a cold:
'I was in bed with a cold all last week.'
