Today (14.11.25), we proudly organized a Diabetic Awareness Rally in collaboration with the Lions Club of Madurai Palace as part of World Diabetes Day observances. The main objective of the rally was to create awareness among the public about the rising incidence of diabetes, its prevention, and the importance of early detection.
A total of 350 students and staff members from our institution enthusiastically participated in the rally, carrying awareness placards and raising slogans to educate the community. Their active involvement and disciplined participation greatly contributed to the success of the program.
The rally commenced from Raja Muthiah Mandram at 8:30 AM and proceeded through key public locations including Law College Road and Gandhi Museum, finally culminating at Tamukkam Ground, Madurai. Throughout the route, students highlighted the significance of healthy diet, regular physical activity, and periodic health check-ups as preventive measures against diabetes.
The event was flagged off by Ln. C.A.D. Selvam, District Governor, 3242 B, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged students to continue spreading health awareness in society. The program was graced by the esteemed presence of our Chairman, Thiru N. Karthigeyarajan, whose guidance and support were instrumental in making the rally a grand success.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Lions Club of Madurai Palace, faculty members, volunteers, and all participants who played a vital role in organizing this meaningful awareness campaign.
