Rotaract Club of D.T.S.S. College of Commerce, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Andheri and FLOURA Foundation, successfully organized a meaningful Independence Day celebration at Juhu Beach.
The celebration began with flag hoisting, followed by an engaging Independence day - themed drawing session with beach cleaners .The initiative brought together patriotism, creativity, and community engagement, making the Independence Day celebration truly memorable.

*On 7 August 2026*, the First Year Selection was conducted at *D.T.S.S. College of Commerce.* The selection process was attended by *Commanding Officer Col. Prashant Rao*, the *PI Staff*, and *Lt. Manasi Samant*. The selection included height measurement, an eye test, and a personal interview for the cadets.

Commanding Officer Col. Prashant Rao personally conducted the selection, interacted with the cadets, and motivated them by providing valuable guidance.*Lt. Preeti Jha* from *GS College,* *C.T.O Surashri Adhav* from *Patkar College*, and cadets from both colleges also participated in the selection process.

The selection was conducted smoothly and successfully, ensuring a fair assessment of all participating cadets.

On *13th August 2026*, an NCC activity was conducted at *Azaad Maidan *by 8 Maharashtra Girls NCC *. The cadets participated actively in the programme har ghar tiranga and displayed discipline, teamwork, confidence, and a strong spirit of cooperation. The activity was conducted successfully under the guidance of the NCC officers and provided the cadets with valuable learning and practical experience.

The First-Year Orientation Programme for B.Sc. Information Technology (B.Sc. I.T.) and B.Sc. Data Science students was conducted to familiarize newly admitted students and their parents with the academic environment of the institution. The programme provided detailed information regarding the college's rules and regulations, code of conduct, discipline, examination guidelines, academic and co-curricular activities, student support schemes, and various facilities available on the campus.

*Report on " Participation in Drug-Free Mumbai Pledge Ceremony*

⭐As a part of institution *3 Teachers and 32 students* from the college physically attended the *Drug-Free Mumbai Pledge Ceremony* held at the *NSCI,Worli*.

⭐The *event* emphasized the importance of creating a *drug-free society* and encouraged participants to *pledge* their commitment to this cause.

⭐Simultaneously, the *live webcast* of the ceremony was screened in the *college auditorium*, allowing *other faculty members and students to participate virtually*.

⭐The program was conducted successfully and *inspired* everyone to work together towards promoting a *healthy, safe, and drug-free community.*
