AMU Girls’ School Organizes Speech Activity to Mark 150 Years of 'Vande Mataram'
ALIGARH, August 20: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Girls’ School organized a speech activity on the occasion of Independence Day as part of the year-long commemoration marking 150 years of the National Song, "Vande Mataram."
The campaign, being observed from November 7, 2025 to November 7, 2026, seeks to commemorate the rich legacy of “VandeMataram” and inspire students with the values of patriotism, unity and national pride.
Ashvi Bharadwaj of Class IX-F delivered a speech in English highlighting the historical significance of “VandeMataram” and its role in India’s freedom struggle, while Anoma Nagar of Class XII Arts spoke in Hindi on the patriotic spirit embodied in the National Song and its relevance in contemporary India.
The activity provided students an opportunity to engage with India’s national heritage and express their understanding of the spirit of freedom and patriotism. It was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Huma Mukhtar and Ms. Anjum Fatima, event in-charges.
