Amrita School of Computing successfully organized an insightful session on AWS Academy and an Introduction to AI & Generative AI.

The session provided students with a strong foundation in cloud computing and modern artificial intelligence technologies. Participants explored key concepts such as machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI, along with gaining hands-on exposure to AWS cloud services. The program also enabled students to engage with AWS learning platforms, enhancing their practical skills and industry readiness.

We were honored to have Akanksha Rai Sharma, Technical Program Manager at AWS Academy, as the resource person. With over 8 years of experience at AWS and expertise across GenAI, Containers, Compute, and Storage services, she has delivered more than 70 impactful sessions to educators and students. An MBA graduate from IIM Udaipur and a 4X AWS certified professional, she continues to play a vital role in advancing cloud education and adoption.

The session was highly beneficial in empowering students with future-ready skills in cloud computing and AI.

The Quantum Horizons 2026 Bootcamp successfully concluded at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus, bringing together students, faculty, and experts to explore the rapidly evolving field of Quantum Computing.

The three-day programme featured expert lectures, hands-on sessions, and computational demonstrations led by leading researchers and industry professionals. Participants gained valuable exposure to quantum algorithms, quantum programming, and emerging research directions, deepening their understanding of next-generation computing technologies. Supported by MeitY, Government of India, and organized in collaboration with the IEEE Student Chapter, Amrita School of Computing, and Amrita School of Engineering, the bootcamp marked an important step toward strengthening quantum education and research.

The initiative aligns with the vision of the Amaravati Quantum Valley, inspiring the next generation of innovators to contribute to the future of quantum technology.

The eighth phase of ICT Cricket 2026 was held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, bringing together teams from Mysuru, Bangalore, Arasampalayam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Amritapuri and Amaravati for an exciting and highly competitive tournament.

The top 5 teams were shortlisted after a rigorous evaluation round, setting the stage for an exciting valedictory ceremony.

The ceremony featured pitches from the top 5 teams, a speech from the chief guest, and the announcement of winners. With the event coming to a successful end, participants and organizers are celebrating a grand success!
