Report on DST Technology Enabling Centre, and Neurology Dept. of Nitte University on May 24th, 25th, 2024

On May 24th and 25th 2024, a team of 30 faculty members and 5 research scholars visited the DST Technology Enabling Centre and the Neurology Department of Nitte University. Dr. Iddya Karunasagar made a presentation on the ongoing projects and products launched by the DST Centre in previous years. They also explained how the faculty and students can benefit from the DST Centre.
Faculty also visited the Neurology department of Nitte Deemed to be University to learn about how manikins operate and how simulations can be practiced by aspiring doctors. The doctors in charge explained the workings and demonstrated the operations of the manikins.

The visit was very useful to all

objective: To understand the activities of the Technology Enabling Center established at Nitte University with the support of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Benefits: The Technology Enabling Center offers various benefits such as understanding the potential for technology development within an academic institution. Additionally, it provides the opportunity to transfer technology to entrepreneurs outside the institution. The center serves as a bridge between technology developers and entrepreneurs who obtain licenses to develop and market products. At DST NuTech, which is already active at the university, there are examples of processes and products developed by researchers that have been transferred to entrepreneurs outside the university. A visit to the center will help students and staff gain insight into the activities of Nitte University Technology.
