A Free Community Eye Screening Camp was conducted by the Department of Optometry on 19 September 2026 at Vidyakuteer. A total of 80 participants underwent comprehensive eye screening.

The camp aimed to assess the visual health of the community, identify refractive errors and other vision-related conditions at an early stage, and provide appropriate guidance regarding further eye care, referral, and management. The initiative also served to promote awareness of eye health and encourage the importance of regular eye examinations within the community.

105 students of Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences attended "Prajna'26 -Educational Symposium for students of Professional Courses "held at Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru on 11 September 2026.
Swami Jitakamanandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru delivered the key note address.
Chief guest for the day Dr K Prakash Shetty,Managing Director ,MRG Group spoke about situational leadership and it's importance in active team effort.
Swami Yukteshanandaji and Sri Gurudatta Shenoy ,Managing Partner,Mukund Reality and Vertex Managed emphasised how professional skills can be used to uplift lives through service.

Free Community Eye Screening Camp was conducted by the Department of Optometry on 10 September 2026 at St. Lawrence Minor Basilica (Shrine), Attur. A total of 175 participants, including school children and older adults, underwent comprehensive eye screening.

The camp aimed to assess the visual health of the community, identify refractive errors and other vision-related conditions at an early stage, and provide appropriate guidance regarding further eye care, referral, and management. The Faculty Development Committee in association with IQAC, organised a faculty enrichment session titled “Mind Matters – The Art of Balance” on 5th September 2026, as part of the Teachers’ Day celebrations, for the faculty members of Mangala Group of Educational Institutions.

The Resource person for the session was Mr. Shrikanth S.V., M.Sc. in Yogic Sciences, Mental Performance and Mind Conditioning Trainer and Director, AEMiT (Academic Excellence Mindset Training).

The interactive session focused on stress management, emotional well-being, positive mindset, and maintaining balance between professional and personal life. The programme was graced by the presence and participation of Prof. Pratijna Suhasini G R, Dean, Mangala Group of Educational Institutions, Prof. Subramanya Nayak,Principal , College of Nursing, Dr. Bharath K. H., Principal, College of Physiotherapy, Prof. Geethalakshmi, Vice principal, College of Allied Health & Paramedical Sciences.
