🦋 NGSMIPS Hosts Inspiring Guest Lecture on Biodiversity & Conservation 🌿
NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mangalore, in association with the SDG Cell of Nitte (Deemed to be University), organized an insightful guest lecture on “The Butterfly Effect: Why Protecting One Small Wing Impacts the Entire Ecosystem.”
The session was delivered by Mr. Sammilan Shetty, Founder of Butterfly Park, Belvai, Karnataka’s first private butterfly park and a renowned conservationist. He highlighted the ecological significance of butterflies as indicator species and their vital role in maintaining environmental balance and biodiversity.
The event was graced by Dr. Suma Ballal, Deputy Registrar & SDG Coordinator, Nitte (Deemed to be University).
With active participation from students, faculty, and guests, the lecture created awareness on biodiversity conservation and reinforced the importance of SDG 15: Life on Land.
