to meet the increasing demand for collegiate Education in Mangalore. The encouraging support from the philanthropic public has led to the starting of the college. The college provides 3 year degree course in *Bachelors in Business Administration(BBA),
*Bachelors in Computer Applications(BCA) and *Bachelors in Commerce (B.Com). The college provides education to both men and women students without d

istinction of caste or creed. A spacious building has been put up for the college facilities are as follows: Hostel accommodation for men and women separately, spacious play grounds, full fledged library, furnished auditorium & computer lab. The college aims not merely at providing degree education but also to equip the pupils to face problems of life. The college lays great stress on the development of character and discipline among the students, so that they may turn out to be worthy citizens. The college provides facilities for co-curricular activities like social service, games, athletics, public speaking etc. and students are earnestly advised to participate in them. The staff of the college is always ready to provide the necessary guidelines to the students.

Annual Day Celebration at Sri Ramakrishna College
The Annual Day celebration of Sri Ramakrishna College Mangalore was held grandly on Saturday, 23rd in the Smt. Geetha S.M Shetty Auditorium. The program was attended by dignitaries, faculty members, parents, and students.

The Chief Guest of the event was Prof. Ganapathi Gowda, Principal, University College Mangalore. Former Correspondent SREI and Treasurer BANMS Krishna Prasad Rai graced the occasion as a guest.
The program began with a warm welcome speech by Principal Dr Anasuya Rai. The annual report for the academic year 2025-2026 was presented by Vice Principal Mrs Prathima Shetty, highlighting the achievements and activities of the institution during the academic year.

The guests were introduced by Student Welfare Officer Mr V. G. Bhatt. In his address, Chief Guest Prof. Ganapathi Gowda motivated the students with his inspiring words. He emphasised that life is not only about studies, but that skills and overall personality development are equally important for success.

Former Correspondent SREI Krishna Prasad Rai also addressed the gathering and spoke about the changes in the education system from earlier times to the present day. He stressed the importance of education and values in students’ lives.
PTA President Mrs Lalitha Ayoor was also present on the occasion along with all the student union members.

During the programme, the Akshara Scholarship was awarded to Ms. Ashwija of III BCA. Mr. Kavitha of III BCA secured the Cultural Individual Championship, while the Student Achiever Award was presented to Ms. Deeksha of III B.Com. Mr. Nithesh of III BCA received the Creative Talent Award, Mr. Karthik of III B.Com received the Best Sports Performance Award, and the Best Outgoing Student Award was conferred upon Mr. Gurukeerthan Rai of III BCA.

Various prizes and scholarships were distributed during the event. Awards were presented to students for academic achievement , cultural activities, sports, NSS, Red Cross, overall performance, and scholarships.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Student Union President Mr Chethan. The entire program was compered by Rashmi Rai.

The Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting of Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangalore was held on 25th April 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall, SRCM.

The program began with departmental discussions, where the Heads of the Departments of BCA, B.Com, and BBA highlighted the academic progress, attendance status, examination performance, and overall development of the students to the parents.

The PTA President, Mrs. Lalitha Ayoor, and Vice President, Mrs. Lalitha, were present on the dais.

The Principal, Dr. Anasuya Rai, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of continuous parent–teacher interaction in shaping the academic and personal development of students. She also provided detailed information about scholarship opportunities, eligibility criteria, and the application process, encouraging students to make use of available financial support schemes. She highlighted the need for regular monitoring of attendance, active participation in academic activities, and maintaining discipline.

An interactive session was conducted where parents shared their feedback, concerns, and suggestions. The faculty members addressed queries and assured necessary support for student improvement.

The session was then summed up by the Student Welfare Officer, Mr. V. G. Bhat, who outlined key takeaways and encouraged parents to stay connected with the institution for the holistic development of their wards.

Finally, parents were directed to the allotted classrooms for one-on-one interaction to discuss individual student performance.

The meeting concluded successfully with active participation from parents and faculty, strengthening the bond between the institution and families.

The Commerce Association of Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangalore, in association with IQAC, successfully organized a Guest Lecture on “Proportions: A Practical Session” on 28th April 2026.
The session was delivered by Mrs. Nidhisha N, Faculty, Department of Commerce, University College Mangalore. Her presentation provided valuable practical insights into the application of proportions, enhancing students’ analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The session witnessed active participation from students, making it both engaging and academically enriching.
