Department of Health Information Management, School of Allied Health Sciences and Department of Public Health- MHA Program, Manipal University, Manipal is organizing the first National Conference on Health Informatics (HiNCON-2015). The conference will be spread over two days (12th – 13th, September, 2015) preceded by one day Pre-conference workshop (11th September, 2015).

The conference & workshop aims to stimulate & create awareness among the various Health and Information Sciences Students, Health Care Professionals, Hospital Administrators, Policy makers, End users and Developers (software Engineers) about the application of health information in delivery and promotion of healthcare.

Eligibility Criteria: Based on specialization
• Healthcare IT Management
The candidate must have passed degree and equivalent in MBBS/BDS/Nursing/ Allied Health Courses with a minimum aggregated of 50 % marks.
• Software Development & Management
The candidate must have passed degree and equivalent in B.Sc. (with Physics / Mathematics as one of the subject)/B.C.A. / Engineering with a minimum aggregated of 50 % marks.

The M.Sc. Health Informatics Program is offered jointly by School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS) and School of Information
Sciences (SOIS), Manipal with two specialization:
• Healthcare IT Management
• Software Development & Management
This is a unique post graduate program designed based on health care industry and IT industry requirements of India as well as abroad. This program enables students to become an efficient and constructive Health Informatics Specialist with help of the knowledge & skills they acquired from intensive training & specialized curriculum. The course structure is designed in a syst ematic way that on completion, students acquire multi-task skills & have multiple options to choose their career from potential employers.
