MAHE actively participated in the India–Spain Conference on Higher Education: Indian HEIs and Spanish CRUE (Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities) held from 19–20 February 2026 in New Delhi, strengthening Indo-Spanish academic partnerships and advancing global engagement.
We were honored to have Dr. P. Giridhar Kini, Registrar, MAHE, as a panellist in the session “Ibero-American Knowledge Area – Spain – India – Cooperation with Latin American Universities: A Partnership for the Future.” Dr. Anup Naha, Director – International Collaborations, MAHE, represented the institution, contributing to key discussions on joint research, student mobility, and future MoUs.
During the conference, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted how India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is enabling deeper global academic collaboration and encouraged leading Spanish universities to explore opportunities in India, emphasizing the need to move from dialogue to delivery.
H.E. Juan Antonio March Pujol, Ambassador of Spain to India, highlighted the importance of knowledge partnerships in strengthening bilateral ties and expressed optimism about sustained collaboration in research, innovation, and academic mobility between the two nations.
