The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad (www.ediindia.org) is organising its Annual Entrepreneurship Fest - EMPRESARIO Start-up Summit 2018 during 10-11 March,’18. We have planned the Inaugural Function of the Summit on 10 March,’18 at the EDII Campus at 10.00 am. Hon’ble Union Minister for Industry & Commerce, Shri Suresh Prabhu ji has given his consent to inaugurate the event. We will also have the august presence of Shri Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder, Infosys for the inaugural function. We extend a warm invitation to you for this function. EMPRESARIO, the annual entrepreneurship flagship event, is an exclusive, one-stop platform for start-ups, new-age entrepreneurs, industry mentors, investors and students to dish out their entrepreneurial endeavours and experiences, gain new insights and pledge to become an invaluable part of the ever-flourishing start-up ecosystem in India. EMPRESARIO was first launched in 2012 and has since then went on to emerge as one of the largest entrepreneurship fests celebrated in India. The event has helped several start-ups turn their ideas into viable businesses. Apart from the panel discussions, speaker and mentoring sessions and workshops, the events included an exhibition for start-ups to showcase their innovative products, fireside chats with mentors and counsellors. During the event we will also present the Start-up Awards.
As pre empresario event, boot camp are to be conducted for concept stage or prototype stage students/ startups. The startups will be briefed about business model canvas and they will have to present in the boot camp itself. On that basis preliminary shortlisting will be done. The shortlisted ones will be invited to the pitching events at final Empresario event on 10th and 11th march.
The BIG PITCH is a competition in final Empresario event to evaluate the start ups on the parameters of
· The level of innovation of the technology
· Scalability of the idea
· Consistency of the education background of the founder and the startup idea
You kindly decide the venue and date of holding the boot camp in Kochi as per convenience and please share with us to promote on social media and updating on the website.
We would request you to intimate your students about the completion so that they participate and assess the viability of their idea. They will benefit in terms of:
· Chance to showcase your idea on such a huge platform
· Opportunity to network with fellow startups working across multiple domains
· Chance to get mentoring and incubation support through our partnering Institutions
· Opportunity to win funds for developing your prototype
· Attend and learn from workshops, specifically curated for Startups
