Mahatma Gandhi’s vision for India was centred on social justice, economic equality, self-reliance, dignity of labour, village development and moral responsibility.
Gandhi held Rabindranath Tagore in exceptionally high regard and famously referred to him as “Gurudev.” Tagore, in turn, called Gandhi “Mahatma.”

Gandhi’s Educational Policy: Nai Talim

Gandhi's most distinctive educational proposal was Nai Talim, or Basic Education, developed particularly during the late 1930s. The approach sought to connect education with productive work and everyday life.

For Gandhi, education was not simply about passing examinations or obtaining government employment. He wanted education to develop the head, heart and hand—intellectual ability, moral character and practical skills.

Both of them agreed upon
Education should liberate rather than merely discipline.
Education should develop character as well as intellect.
Indian culture should not be treated as inferior to Western culture.
Children should be encouraged to think independently.
Education should contribute to a more humane and just society.

গত ১৪ বছরের দীর্ঘ ধারাবহিকতা ও ঐতিহ্যকে লালন করে, বিশ্বকবি রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের প্রয়াণ দিবসে 'মানকর ইনস্টিটিউট অফ এডুকেশান এন্ড রিসার্চ' এবং 'মানকর রামকৃষ্ণ শিক্ষায়তন'-এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত হতে চলেছে বিশেষ রবীন্দ্রস্মৃতিতর্পণ ও বৃক্ষরোপণ অনুষ্ঠান।

বৃক্ষরোপণ উৎসব ও রবীন্দ্রস্মৃতিতর্পণ ২০২৬

প্রকৃতি পূজন হলো শ্রেষ্ঠ পূজন আর সেই আরাধনার শ্রেষ্ঠ আয়োজক হয়তো রবীন্দ্রনাথ ই ছিলেন।
তার দেখানো পথে এবার ও বৃক্ষ রোপণ , বৃক্ষ প্রদান ও গুরুদেব কে স্মরণ করা ও শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করা হবে ।
