Inspired by compassion, commitment and cosmic understanding of life of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar, Sri Sri Institute of Management Studies (SSIMS) was established in 2006, with a vision of being a management school having a passion for academic excellence, uncompromising human values, and sensitive social conscience. It not only prepares trained professionals for the rigors of a competitive

corporate world but also inculcates spiritual and ethical values which are equally important in the metamorphism of business and industry. SSIMS offers a two year full time UGC recognized MBA Degree. The Institute has a Wi-fi enabled campus with modern teaching aids and AC classrooms. The Institute boasts of top faculties from IIM and XLRI who have vast corporate experience. The library has a collection of over 5000 books, Journals and Magazines. At SSIMS, students go through demanding academic and industry assignments. With a high emphasis on case method teaching, the students are put through real life challenges thereby giving first hand experience in problem solving and decision making. The students are free to choose from a wide range of electives in Finance, Human Resources and Marketing. The MBA course gives wide industry exposure and involves many field projects. In addition the Summer Internship at the end of the First year and the Final Dissertation during the fourth semester prepare the students for Junior and Middle level managerial positions in the Industry. The curriculum also consists of communication workshops and personality development courses which help students learn how to manage one self before managing the world. Students are also encouraged to take up community services with an aim of giving back to the society. SSIMS has also entered into an agreement with LIQVID India for providing English Edge programme from BBC as a part of its MBA curriculum. SSIMS has tied up with banks for loan assistance to all interested students. SSIMS provides 100% placement assistance and SSIMS students are gainfully employed in reputed companies like HDFC Bank, Pepsi, Camlin, Indoco Remedies, IndiaCan, Bosch, Wockhardt, Sumeru Solutions etc. Throughout the two year programme, students are groomed through a host of mock interviews and placement preparation workshops. This is imparted through experts from the corporate world. SSIMS also promotes and encourages entrepreneurship among students by way of entrepreneurship development courses in the curriculum and a couple of students have turned into successful entrepreneurs.

A “Leadership Workshop” for the Leaders of Tommorrow’ was held at the Sri Sri Institute of Management Studies (SSIMS), Margao, Goa. The workshop was held on 4th Jan with enthusiastic student council members from various colleges of South Goa. Focus was on self assessments & an insight into leadership development which would help students to understand & develop the leader inside them. The workshop spread across four sessions had expert speakers like Mr. Andre Shackleton – Corporate Trainer and Director Training for BNI, Goa region who gave participants an insight into Leadership skills & traits; Mr. D. Kumar Pillai – CEO- Oriyon Molding & Rosh International, motivated the participants by citation of leaders of India & how they have transformed our country as Leaders. The sessions on Leadership & Teambuilding/Negotiation & the Future Action Plan for Leaders was held by Col NKS Warrier – Deputy Director, SSIMS & Dr. Pradeep Salgaonkar-Director, SSIMS respectively involving team activities & role plays.
