A high-level review meeting was convened by SP Traffic Meerut and the District Nodal Officer of SPEL, Raghvendra Kumar Mishra, at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Meerut, to discuss the Student-Police Experiential Learning (SPEL) programme. The meeting, held on January 19th, 2025, was attended by officials from the National Service Scheme (NSS), SPEL volunteers and Police officials of the all four police stations where SPEL training going on..
During the meeting, Mr. Mishra emphasized the effective implementation of SPEL, aiming to provide NSS volunteers with a deeper understanding of policing and its responsibilities. Currently, 47 NSS volunteers are undergoing SPEL training at various police stations in Meerut, including Jani, Kankar Kheda, TP Nagar, and Partapur.
The volunteers shared their experiences and insights gaining during the training, highlighting the programme's impact. The SP instructed concerned police officers to prioritize student satisfaction and ensure the training meets their needs.
The SPEL program is a valuable initiative, fostering collaboration between students, police, and the community to promote road safety awareness and responsible policing practices.
During the occasion NSS Coordinator of SVSU Prof.(Dr)S.C. Thaledi, NSS SPEL nodal officer Dr Vishal Kumar, Programme officer, NSS, Ram Prakash Tiwari and all concerned Police officers were present.
