On 5th April 2017, Bansal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut took part in a Summit on Mentoring Grassroots Entrepreneurs in Smart Grams for Inclusive Growth’ hosted by Rashtrapati Bhavan where the Hon’ble President of India had kindly consented to be the Chief Guest.
This important Summit, organised by BYST in association with Smart Gram, a Rashtrapati Bhavan (RB) Initiative, was the first-of-its-kind, which brought together industry veterans, mentors from different fields and BYST’s entrepreneurs, to share views on achieving sustainable employability. On behalf of Bansal Institute of Engineering & Technology, the event was attended by the Hon’ble Chairman of Bansal Group of Institutions, Mr. Vinod Bansal.
The event started by setting a National Agenda for Youth Entrepreneurship for Inclusive Growth, followed by discussion on Fostering Smart Grampreneurs - creating employment through entrepreneurship in rural India Gurukul Diaries – The Joy of Giving through Mentoring.
Later, in the evening the proceedings was addressed by Hon’ble President of India at a special plenary. The event was concluded with the presentation of business ideas awards, exhibition by select rural entrepreneurs, and lastly a cultural evening.
