Exposure Visit to MAFBIF – Asia's First Agroforestry Business Incubation Center

We had the opportunity to visit the Mettupalayam Agroforestry Business Incubation Forum (MAFBIF), Asia's first Agroforestry Business Incubation Center. The visit began with an insightful orientation session by Ms. R. Kavitha, CEO, MAFBIF, offering an overview of the center's innovative initiatives in agroforestry and sustainable rural development.

Following the session, students toured various units including:

Briquetting Unit
Honey Processing Unit
Wood Processing and preservation Unit
Natural Dye Processing Unit

Each unit showcased unique value-addition processes and sustainable practices, making it an informative and enriching experience for all participants. The visit highlighted the potential of agroforestry-based entrepreneurship and its role in promoting eco-friendly livelihoods.
