Centre for Scientific Culture CSC is an open Lab for Physics and Chemistry This Centre is situated at Midnapore College. It was inaugurated by Prof. D. P. Khadelwal on 04th February, 1993. Prof.

Centre for Scientific Culture (CSC) is an open laboratory for Physics & Chemistry for those who are interested in Science. CSC is a joint associationship of Indian Association of Physics Teachers and Midnapore College Department of Physics. Khandelwal was the founder President of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). CSC laboratory is spread over 2,000 sq. ft. areas with an open space 1.5

acre (approx.) in front of it. Objective of the CSC is to help people to make them understand the basics of Science through running exhibitions. Experimental Physics can be practiced from grass-root level to doctoral level. This Centre is locally authorized by Midnapore College department of Physics. Astro-Physicist Dr. Narayan Chandra Rana was also attached with this CSC. Many students of School and Colleges visit this centre to clear their doubt regarding Physics Experiments. Many people at some points of time had been associated with IAPT MIdnapore College Centre for Scientific Culture and got some meaningful academic help. Midnapore college provides infrastructural facilities like housing, electricity, water and some equipments time to time. IAPT also provides some annual grant for maintenance etc. But this is not sufficient; we need some fund for its extension and development. Moreover, we also like to know what type of academic activities in the CSC will help the present day students to make them good scientific workers in future. CSC needs your valuable help in both the counts. Anybody can contribute as donation for CSC activities. If one needs 80 G benefit for exemption of IT, that also can be arranged. The CSC normally remains open on Saturdays and Sundays (11:00 AM to 5:00 PM) but one can work here on other days also with prior information.

We are very glad to inform you that IAPT-Midnapore College Centre for Scientific Cultural (our CSC) has already crossed its glorious 24 years in service to the Science Education throughout the County. This time, on coming February, we are going to celebrate its 25th year completion. On that occasion, we'll publish a Souvenir on CSC's activities and other science related topics.

So, you are requested to send some articles related to your attachments/memories with CSC or any other science related topics.
