Who run the world ? “Girls”

History was made the moment they stepped onto the pitch. ✨

Almost after 50 years, our girls became the very first girls team from Orange Lake School, Mirik who represented our school with resilience and courage on the 19th and 20th at SVDA Lebong Darjeeling for the AHLIS U-17 football tournament

While the final result wasn't the one we dreamed of, a scoreboard can never diminish a legacy half a century in the making. These girls didn't just play a match, they broke a decades long silence, carried the pride of generations and showed immense heart. The tournament ended in a loss, but their names will always remain etched in the history, they are pioneers and the entire Lakers family could not be more proud of our girls.

“The future belongs to those who believe in the power of their dreams.”

The badminton tournament 2026 was held at DBS Mirik on Friday(11th) and Saturday(12th)
Our students Satya Rai and Riyant Gurung were able to clinch the trophies with the impeccable runner up position in the senior doubles category.

A special shoutout to Rahul Rai of class XI(Commerce) for securing the 5th position in the Independence Day open marathon.

On behalf of the entire LAKERS family we’d like to extend our heartiest congratulations to all of you for representing our school so beautifully.

Proud of y’aal ✨

Wins are fantastic, but character is everything alongside resilience, faith and discipline 💯✨

A huge shoutout and a heartfelt congratulations to the AHLIS Under-14 Boys for putting on a true masterclass in dedication and team spirit today. It was a tough fixture, and though we didn't walk away with the win, every single player left their absolute best out on the field. They played with pride, respected the game, and showed exactly what our school community stands for. With an attitude and work ethic like that, the future is incredibly bright for this squad. This is just one step in the journey, and we grow stronger from here! 💪📈

“The illusion of being under a clear night sky is so perfect that one forgets he is sitting in a room under a concrete dome." — Willem J. Luyten

Our students took a break from the ordinary classroom today to explore the deep cosmos! Inside the planetarium, millions of stars and distant galaxies came alive right above our heads. We were able to see what it feels to be inside of a rocket and not only that but also the close view of the sun and other planets alongside moon and the beautiful surface .It was incredible to see our young learners tracking constellations and asking big questions about the universe.Experiences like these compress complex science into unforgettable, real-world magic.

To top off an already stellar day, our principal pulled a random name for a special surprise giveaway. 🥳Congratulations to the lucky girl Aroshi Thapa from XI (Humanities)who went home with a brand-new, free VR headset to keep exploring the beauty of the universe 🎧🌌

Thank you to everyone who made this inspiring educational journey possible!!!
