The 5-day Bootcamp on Mobile Malware Detection & Forensics at IKGPTU Mohali concluded today with a heartfelt Valedictory Session.

Participants engaged in an intensive learning journey covering worm detection, APK analysis, and advanced forensic tools. With hands-on sessions led by experts from CDAC Mohali and U-Net Solutions, they explored key areas of mobile security, network defense, and data privacy.

The closing ceremony celebrated growth, gratitude, and community. Dignitaries were warmly welcomed, participants shared their feedback, and certificates were distributed in recognition of their efforts. Dr. Monika Sachdeva, Director of Mohali Campus-I, delivered a gracious vote of thanks to conclude the event.

Special appreciation was extended to Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Ms. Mani Arora, Mr. Vipin Gupta, and all mentors whose guidance made the bootcamp a transformative experience.

From hands-on threat simulations to expert insights, the bootcamp empowers students and professionals to tackle mobile cybersecurity challenges head-on.

Graced by the leadership of Dr. Susheel Mittal (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Navdeepak Sandhu (Registrar & Chief-Coordinator), and Dr. Monika Sachdeva (Director, Mohali Campus-I), the event reflects IKGPTU’s commitment to academic excellence and digital empowerment.

PTU Alumnus Mr. Nirmal Nambiar Earns Global Recognition in 'AI Innovation' from the finance minister of India.

I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Mohali Campus 1, proudly celebrates the achievements of Mr. Nirmal Nambiar, a distinguished alumnus from the Batch of 2025.Recently, Mr. Nirmal showcased his AI innovation project to Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman , finance minister of India.

Nirmal has brought immense pride to the university through his contribution to one of the top 10 global AI startups, known for innovations rivaling Microsoft 365 Co‑Pilot.

Built entirely by Indian engineers, the startup was featured among the top 35 worldwide in Microsoft’s Global Program. Nirmal was recently invited by Mr. Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s founder and CEO, for an exclusive discussion on AI and large language models — a reflection of his global stature. His achievement was also appreciated by India’s Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, recognizing it as a shining example of India’s growing technological leadership.

Cyber Security Awareness Session @ IKGPTU Mohali Campus-1

The Coding and technical Club of IKGPTU Mohali Campus-1 under the aegis of ISEA & MeitY organized an insightful Cyber Security Awareness Session on campus, aimed at enlightening students about the importance of safeguarding their digital identities and data in today’s interconnected world.
The session was conducted by subject experts from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), who brought their proficiency and real-world experience to the discussion. They covered critical topics such as emerging cyber threats, data privacy, password security, phishing prevention, and safe online practices.
Students actively engaged with the speakers, asking questions and exploring practical solutions to enhance their personal and professional cybersecurity measures.
This initiative by the IKGPTU MOHALI CAMPUS, in collaboration with CDAC, provided a valuable platform for sensitizing students to the latest challenges in the cybersecurity landscape.
By promoting awareness and proactive digital responsibility, the session reinforced the institution’s commitment to shaping tech-savvy professionals who are both innovative and security-conscious.
