Inspiration from nature has changed the way engineers approach a problem. The commonly used 'Velcro' is one of the first designs inspired by mimicking nature. The Shinkansen Bullet Train sonic boom was solved by observing birds like kingfishers, owls etc. Termite colonies have inspired energy efficient buildings and thus, the list of bio-inspired design solutions is endless.

When we hear the name ‘Nagpur’, the second word that immediately comes to mind is ‘Oranges’, isn’t it?

Founded in the early 18th century, Nagpur lies along the Nag river and houses the winter session of Maharashtra State Assembly. A historical city located at the geographical center of India (aka the Zero Mile marker); one can find a multitude of trade industries in Nagpur.

The Buriboti industrial area is believed to be the largest in Asia in terms of area. India’s first ever textile mill was started here. Nagpur’s airport has the unique distinction of being the only airport in the world to be certified for Air Navigation service Provider (ANSP). The city also houses many food industries (Haldirams etc). It is an educational hub and various cultural hotspots are located here.
