This prestigious recognition reflects Dr. Andhare's commitment to advancing financial literacy, investor awareness, and industry-relevant education. MET Institute of Management participated in the Roundtable on "Geopolitics and Exchange Rate Risk Management," hosted by WTC Mumbai in association with All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and Forum for Integrated National Security at the World Trade Center, Mumbai, on 10 July 2026.

The session was presided over by Mr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman, WTC Mumbai, and featured an eminent panel comprising Mr. Satish Marathe, Part-time Non-Official Director, Reserve Bank of India; Prof. Ananth Narayan, Former Whole-time Director, SEBI; Mr. Maulik Shah, and Prof. Murthy. The panel discussion was expertly moderated by Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, Associate Professor, MET Institute of Management, who guided a thought-provoking dialogue on the impact of geopolitical developments on exchange rate risk and the global business environment.

The roundtable offered valuable insights into the evolving geopolitical landscape, exchange rate volatility, and practical strategies for managing financial risk. Student & Faculty represented MET Institute of Management at the prestigious round table discussion on “DPDP & Data Resilience in BFSI: Strengthening Security & Trust in the Age of DPDP," jointly organized by the Centre for Knowledge Sovereignty (CKS) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). The team led by faculty members Dr. Rohini Andhare and Ms. Dharmishta Gala, along with MMS Finance students Ms. Srushti Salunkhe, Ms. Mounika Pantagani, and Mr. Kaustubh Korpe.

The session featured an insightful address by Mr. Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, NSE, who highlighted the importance of building trust, strengthening security, and enhancing data resilience to shape India's digital future. The event also marked the launch of the report, "Data Resilience in India: A Framework for National Digital Security," in the presence of Mr. Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Mr. Vinit Goenka, and other distinguished dignitaries.

The discussions provided valuable insights into the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework, cybersecurity, and data resilience in the BFSI sector. MET Institute of Management continued its day two engagement with ET Edge Global Sustainability Alliance (GSA) Masterclass Series, offering participants valuable insights into the evolving ESG landscape through thought-provoking sessions by industry leaders and sustainability experts.

Dr. Aditi Haldar, Director South Asia, Global Reporting Initiative, explained how organizations can effectively align BRSR, GRI, and ISSB frameworks to build credible and transparent ESG disclosures, while Ms. Monika Shrivastava, Head – Sustainability, JSW Cement, highlighted the role of decarbonisation and sustainability in transforming carbon-intensive industries. Ms. Shilpashree Muniswamappa, Director – ESG & Communications, Colgate-Palmolive India, shared how ESG commitments can be translated into measurable action through sustainable packaging, water stewardship, and Scope 3 emissions management, while G. V. Rao, Deputy General Manager – Climate Finance, SBI, discussed the growing importance of integrating ESG and climate considerations into financing and investment decisions. The day concluded with an engaging workshop by Ms. Nisha Menezes, Director - ESG Practice, PwC India, who guided participants on building practical ESG and Net Zero roadmaps for long-term business impact.

The opening day brought together distinguished experts from academia, industry, and the legal fraternity to discuss the growing importance of ESG in today’s business landscape. The sessions highlighted how organizations can embed ESG into strategy, navigate evolving BRSR and regulatory requirements, address greenwashing risks, and translate sustainability initiatives into measurable business outcomes.

A New Chapter for Sustainability Education in India!

We are pleased to announce that MET Institute of Management, Mumbai, and Cero Hero, Finland have signed an Memorandum of Understanding to establish the MET Cero Lab and launch Cero Id. MET is the first institution in India to implement this initiative. Cero Hero is a climate tech startup headquartered in Espoo, Finland.

Just as academic transcripts record educational achievements, Cero Id is designed to help students build a verified record of sustainability and climate-positive actions throughout their university journey.

The MET Cero Lab will offer students opportunities to engage in sustainability projects, climate innovation challenges, community initiatives, circular economy programs, and environmental leadership activities. These verified actions will be recorded in their Cero Id, building a measurable sustainability portfolio alongside academic credentials.

At a time when employers, institutions, and society are increasingly seeking responsible and purpose-driven leaders, Cero ID aims to make sustainability action visible, credible, and recognized.

It is heartening that MET Institute of Management is the first in India to adopt the CERO ID and CERO Lab framework, demonstrating its commitment to preparing future leaders who actively practice sustainability.
