At the ACG Jr. NBA 3v3 National Tournament – Bangalore leg, the BLURU cohort stepped behind the scenes of one of India’s largest school basketball platforms, delivered in collaboration with the National Basketball Association and the Basketball Federation of India.

It was a firsthand look at the scale and discipline that power a global grassroots property on a national stage.

Professional footballer Arata Izumi, widely known as the Indian Samurai, joined our Mumbai cohort for a special athlete interaction.

Originally from Japan, Arata built a distinguished playing career across several clubs in Indian football before transitioning into coaching. Today, he continues to work closely on developing players and strengthening the football ecosystem in India.

During the interaction, he shared perspectives from his journey in the professional game and spoke about the importance of looking beyond the present — building stronger player development pathways and grassroots systems that shape the future of football in India.

A valuable session for the cohort, gaining insights from an athlete who continues to contribute to the growth of the sport both on and off the pitch.
