Hinduja College of Commerce was established in 1974 by late Shri Parmanand Deepchand Hinduja who was a harmonious blend of philanthropy and mercantile activities. The institution functions under the guidance of the Hinduja Foundation which is a part of the Hinduja Group that was established in 1914. Over the years the college has literally and figuratively grown from strength to strength. It started with a student strength of 400 in 1974 and has reached a figure of about 6100 at this point in time, while the number of teachers has increased from 12 up to 105. The college which started with a single Commerce course today offers 25 courses from the Higher Secondary up to the Doctorate level and includes both the Commerce, Science and Arts streams. Hinduja College of Commerce at the age of 36 years is a young and promising adult with well-defined goals and aspirations.
