The Bombay Salesian Society’s Don Bosco Institute of Technology – MMS was launched in August 2010. It offers a two year full time Postgraduate Degree of Masters in Management Studies. DBIT - MMS has received AICTE approval and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The sanctioned intake of students is 60. It is located on the DBCL (Don Bosco Centre for Learning) Campus at Kurla, near Vidyaviha
r station. Don Bosco Centre for Learning at Kurla is one of the institutions within the Don Bosco Mumbai Province. The Don Bosco Centre for Learning (DBCL), Kurla started in 1964 by offering holistic training in Technical Skills, especially to disadvantaged youth. These range from Non Formal Technical Skills to Engineering Degrees. The Don Bosco Society is an international organization dedicated full time to the service of young people, especially those who are poor and disadvantaged. Founded in 1859 by Don Bosco, an Italian saint-educator, we are present in some 130 countries. The Don Bosco Society is present in India since 1906. Today Don Bosco institutions are found all over India – currently we are present in some 400 places, spread across 27 States and 3 Union Territories of India. Generally, each of these presences offer a number of youth-related, educational or developmental services. The Salesian (Don Bosco) Province of Mumbai comprises the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in western and central India. There are presently 220 Salesians working in 34 institutions spread out over these four states. These institutions offer a variety of services to the youth especially the poor and disadvantaged.
