A team of faculty members from Sophia College—Dr. Roshan Dsouza (IQAC Coordinator), Dr. Elwin John (Research Cell Coordinator, English Department), and Dr. Samrita Sinha (English Department)—visited the UGC-sponsored STRIDE Research Capacity Building Centre (RCBC)

The purpose of the visit was to review the research infrastructure, understand the functioning of the center, and explore how RCBC supports faculty and student research initiatives.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to a range of facilities, including the Critical Thinking Lab, the library equipped with software such as SPSS, NVivo, and Drill bit, as well as the Language Lab. The team engaged in detailed discussions on research processes, capacity-building activities, and collaborative opportunities

Independence Day Celebrations

The Independence Day Celebrations were held on 15th August from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the Foyer of MMP Shah College of Arts & Commerce. The event was graced by Mr. Apurva Shah, President of the Rotary Club of Queen’s Necklace, Mumbai, as the Chief Guest.

As part of the programme, the NSS volunteers of Dr. B.M.N. College presented an impactful street play on civic service, which was well appreciated by the audience.
