MNLU Mumbai celebrated a milestone in its academic journey at the Fourth Convocation at the iconic Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. The ceremony commenced at 10:00 AM and brought together distinguished dignitaries, graduating students, faculty and proud families to mark the conferral of degrees upon the outgoing classes.
The program opened with the National Anthem, lending a solemn and patriotic spirit. The formal program began with a welcome address and presentation of the University’s report by Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of MNLU Mumbai, who outlined the university's academic achievements, research contributions and institutional growth over the past year.
The convocation was graced by Hon'ble Mr. Justice Alok Aradhe, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chancellor of MNLU Mumbai, who delivered the Convocation Address. Other distinguished guests included Dr. Milind Sathe, Advocate General, Maharashtra, Prof. (Dr.) R. Venkata Rao, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER), Goa, and Prof. (Dr.) Pravina Khobragade of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar School of Law, RTM Nagpur University.
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Alok Aradhe formally declared the opening of the convocation and set the stage for the most anticipated moment of the day, namely, the conferral of degrees upon the graduating students.
Degrees conferred, Medals awarded
The conferral of degrees saw the award for students from the university's various programs, including 3 of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), 133 from various postgraduate programs, and 119 from the undergraduate BA LLB (Hons) program. The students received their degrees, marking the culmination of years of rigorous academic work, mooting and legal research. The moment drew enthusiastic applause from the audience as each graduate's name was called.
