Institute Football League Institute Football League is a platform for IIT Bombay's football community to come together and drive the game to its highest levels.

IFL is a common forum where players, managers, owners and fans unite to celebrate the glory of the beautiful game of Football. IFL hopes to increase student interaction of the batches – from freshers to final year students and from UG’s to PG’s.

Due to the ongoing Corona virus outbreak, IFL is being postponed. However, the registrations will remain open until further notice. In the circumstance that IFL is not cancelled, the registration amount will be refunded to the players. Stay safe, hope to see you all on the field soon!

It's been a long wait, but it's IFL time of the year again! The time to forge new friendships, learn and grow as players and managers, showcase your talent with the entire Institute watching, and leave your mark on the footballing scene for years to come.

The Institute Football League provides a platform for all footballing enthusiasts to unite and come together to celebrate the beautiful game. Being an all-inclusive league, it provides equal opportunities for all to develop their game, with no barrier on who can take part.

So don your jersey, pull up your socks, lace up your boots and step out onto the Football Ground to achieve glory for your club!

We've had some fantastic performances by the players in this year's edition of IFL. To honor those players who shone above the rest, here is the Team of the Season for IFL 2019!
The selection was based on votes by the managers, team representatives and the organizing committee, using a shortlist created taking into consideration the performances throughout the IFL season.
The percentage of total votes received by the players are as follows:
GK: Purav Gandhi (75%)
Defenders: Aboobacker Sidhique (50%), Aikansh Ghusinga (53.6%), Arjun Zore (82.1%) and Geordi Jose (50%)
Midfielders: Shobhit Srivastava (46.4%), Vishal Jetley (60.7%) and Prasad Parameswaran (71.4%)
Forwards: Miswar Ali (82.1%), Mohammed Fasil (50%) and Adamya Sharma (50%)

After a month of intense footballing action, with all teams playing their hearts out to earn bragging rights, we finally have our winners in the Cup and League!
Juventus saw off a determined Bayern in the Cup Finals, with both teams enchanting the crowd with their unique styles of play. In a match that threatened to go down to the wire, it required Hari KP to step up and deliver, ensuring Juventus took home the Cup.
A huge shoutout to Abhishek Sharma, the Overall Coordinator of IFL 2019, whose efforts ensured that the tournament was conducted smoothly. A heartfelt thanks to all the alumni, who, despite their busy schedules, took the time out to come and play for their respective teams and take the level of IFL up a notch.

This is how the teams finally stand as the IFL League matches come to an end!
We got to see some thrilling encounters, with lots of fluctuations in the table, but Barcelona came out on top with solid performances, with the maximum number of goals scored and no goals conceded to ensure their stronghold on the League trophy!
Stay tuned as the action moves on to the IFL Cup finals, where Juventus meet Bayern in what promises to be a match to remember!

After an exciting round of Cup matches, we have our final four teams which have qualified to the semifinals!
In Group A, United and Dortmund qualified after comfortable wins over Liverpool, who were overwhelmed by the sheer attacking talent possessed by the two teams. United topped the group based on their superior goal difference.
Group B, arguably the group of death, saw three very strong teams battle it out for the two qualification spots. Bayern secured their place in the semis after a 2-0 win against a depleted Juventus, followed by a scrappy 1-1 draw against Barcelona. In the last match of the group, Barcelona and Juventus looked to be headed towards a stalemate, when a moment of magic from Miswar in the form of a free kick sent Barcelona out of the competition.
Stay tuned to witness some nail-biting encounters, as we move into the knockout round of the IFL Cup!
