IIM Mumbai has recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (MSSIDC) for the implementation of a Business Acceleration Programme for MSME entrepreneurs under Raising and Accelerating the MSME Performance (RAMP).

As part of this engagement, IIM Mumbai will design and deliver a comprehensive training programme for MSME entrepreneurs, covering structured training and mentorship. The programme will be conducted in two batches, benefiting 100 MSME entrepreneurs through a blended learning approach combining on-campus sessions and virtual masterclasses.

With expert faculty, hands-on learning, and personalised mentorship, this initiative aims to transform businesses, strengthen competitiveness, and unlock new growth opportunities for MSMEs.

This initiative reinforces IIM Mumbai’s commitment for empowering the MSMEs through enhanced competitiveness and sustainable growth.

We are delighted to share that the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai has successfully completed Week 2 of the Global Online Certification Course on “Generative AI for Data-Driven Business Decision-Making, 2026”, led by Prof. David Simchi-Levi , Director, Data Science Lab, MIT, USA and Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai.

This week explored how Generative AI is reshaping the way businesses approach supply chain management and decision-making. Through real-world case studies, participants witnessed the tangible impact of applying AI across diverse industries. The week also introduced the concept of AI-powered agents autonomously managing supply chain functions, sparking a deeper conversation about the future of human decision-making in an increasingly automated world.

We were honoured to host Mr. Soumojit Basu, Senior Account Manager, Enterprise BFSI at Amazon Web Services (AWS), who shared valuable insights on the transformative potential of Generative AI in the BFSI sector. We also welcomed Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Group Project Manager at Infosys, who shared his rich hands-on experience of implementing Generative AI in real-world banking and financial services environments.

In a proud and defining moment, the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai celebrated the graduation of its inaugural MBA batch (2026), awarding degrees to 505 students at its 3rd Annual Convocation.

Gracing the occasion, Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of National Stock Exchange, inspired the graduating cohort with a powerful message:
