Build your future in Instructional Design and Digital Learning!:
Whenever we learn through an online course, learn a concept through a simulation or animation, or learn through an interactive video, someone has planned what that learning experience should be like. The professional who plans this is called an Instructional Designer. Such professionals are also known as eLearning specialists or Learning Experience Designers.
Today, eLearning is highly useful for learning across many fields, from school education to higher education, including Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Fine Arts, Music, etc. Consequently, many eLearning industries and corporate houses are creating learning experieces and learning resources according to their requirements. They have a great need for such designers.
M.A. / M. Sc. eLearning, the Master's level programme has been developed by the Department of Educational Technology, SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. This is the Silver Jubilee year of the
programme. Recognising the requirements of the present digital learning environment, it is the only university among India's state universities to have developed such an innovative programme.
The programme brings together four elements-learning, technology, instructional design and creativity-resulting in a rich learning experience.
Students learn to analyse learning needs, plan different learning approaches accordingly,
organise appropriate learning strategies and experiences through which learners can interact with one another, and make appropriate and effective use of digital technology.
The emphasis is not on learning how to use technology, but on learning to create meaningful learning experiences by using appropriate technology.
