Various activities are regularly organized in the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at the University of Mumbai. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, senior journalist and President of the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, Ms. Swati Ghosalkar, was invited to interact with the female students of the department and discuss the challenges they may face in their future careers as women.
Ms. Swati Ghosalkar shared her experiences with aspiring young women journalists who wish to pursue a career in journalism and engaged in a friendly and open interaction with them.
On this occasion, Head of the Department Dr. Sundar Rajdeep, Dr. Sanjivani Dipke, Prof. Khushi Kedia, Prof. Daivata Patil, Prof. Sonali Mohapatra, Kaveri Akiwate, Shubhangi Tambe, and a large number of students were present.
The program was hosted by Maitri Patil, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Siddhi Gosavi. Notably, the event was organized with the initiative taken by the students. Future male journalists welcomed the aspiring female journalists by presenting them with flowers.
