There have been many queries from friends, relatives, and clients about the reasoning and logic for choosing our firm's name and logo-unit, 'Pure Energy'.... so, while this had been shared in the review section earlier, bringing it out onto the front-page:
To begin with, we wanted a brand-name which conveyed a positive and energised feeling about itself...
Second, wanted a brand-name which was unique while at the same time not too descriptive or narrow in its definition of the services we provide ..... today we are into sales transformation, sales training and recruitment, but tomorrow whatever else could we do should not be limited by the name we chose.....
Third, wanted a brand-name which was not common or mistaken for a common-noun, else it could never offer itself for being Trademarked... we definitely were focused on IP...
Fourth, since I was at the fulcrum of the firm, it had to stand for me as a person for all those who have ever known me or met me....
Fifth, it should balance out the male and female components of words (Pure being Feminine in its quality and Energy being Masculine in its quality)
Sixth, even when translated (and not transliterated) to Hindi/ Sanskrit it should retain its meaning and character... just for the curious... Shiv (means Pure, ref Adi Sankara), and Shakti (means Energy)... and hence all the above balances of Masculine and Feminine balance out.... plus we had the supreme forces represented here....
Now that the logic for the name was decided, next step was the the reasoning behind the logo-unit....
1) Firstly the font & colours had to be simple, classic, bold but not overtly loud - so what was out was any brush-stroke or caricatures or any loud colours which 'stood out'
2) Background selected was white (you can't get purer than white)
3) for the colouring within the letters, the upper half denotes the open blue sky (Aakash - masculine)...and this coloured sky blue meeting at the centre like a horizon, and the lower half denotes the earth (Prakriti -feminine).... At a more subtle level it also denotes Shiv (Blue) and Shakti (the tiger-skin color)
4) in the beginning of the logo-unit are the 'Energy rings' or basic structure of all energy being the atom - which is representative of 'Pure Energy', with the three rings representing the three primary colours - Red, Blue & Green, representing Passion-to-succeed, Unending-horizons and Prosperity respectively.
Hope that explains it for all those who have been asking me repeatedly about the reasoning behind the firm name....
Finally, on the grounded side, remember one can have all the logic to decide on a brand-name, but its the work and the service 'Pure Energy' provides to its customers, that will decide its 'fate' i.e. = 'customer faith'!!
