Dr Sunil M V is a distinguished academician and management educator specializing in Information Systems and General Management at SDMIMD Mysuru. As the Faculty Chair of Prerana - SDM IMD Alumni Association, he actively fosters strong industry and alumni engagement. With a Ph.D. and prestigious professional credentials including Six Sigma Green Belt certification from KPMG, FDP from IIM Indore ALA, and association with IIM Bangalore Dr. Sunil brings a rich blend of academic excellence, industry orientation, and leadership development to management education.

With over two decades in academia, Dr Sunil M V work at the crossroads of management education, information systems, and emerging technology. At SDMIMD, Mysuru, he teaches Business Information Systems, ESG, Social Enterprise, and Family Business — integrating AI and generative tools into every layer of teaching, research, and assessment.

Dr Sunil’s research spans Technology Adoption, Information Systems, Social Entrepreneurship, and Research Methodology, published across reputed national and international journals and presented at leading academic conferences.

Dr Sunil served as Principal Investigator for the Government of India's Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and contributed to the international AFINO project led by BI Norwegian Business School. SDMIMD– BCIC Study Highlights Pathways to Accelerate Net-Zero Transition

SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore, in collaboration with Bangalore Chambers of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), Karnataka, undertook the research titled “Multi-Sector Empirical & Bibliometric Study on Advancing Sustainability to Accelerate Net-Zero.” The study was executed by Dr. Sunil M.V., Faculty - Systems and General Management, SDMIMD, and Dr. Mousumi Sengupta, Dean - International Relations & Professor - HRM & OB, SDMIMD.

The report was released at the BCIC Conclave on “Advancing Sustainability: Collaboration and Innovation to Accelerate Net-Zero” held in Bengaluru on May 14, 2026.

A central insight emerging from the study is that achieving net-zero goals requires an integrated approach involving technology adoption, collaborative governance, circular economy models, and disciplined management of Scope 3 supply-chain emissions.

Meet Our Academic Leader- Dr. Neetu Ganapathy

Dr. Neetu Ganapathy is an Associate Professor at the SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru, with over 27 years of experience in teaching, training, and industry engagement. She brings a rare blend of academic depth and global industry exposure to the classroom.

She began her career with Aptech Ltd. as an IT and Soft Skills Trainer and later worked as an IT Project Consultant at Softgate Technologies, San Jose, California. Drawing from this strong industry foundation, she transitioned to academia, where she continues to shape and mentor future business leaders through experiential and practice-oriented learning.

Dr. Neetu holds a Doctorate in Business Administration which was awarded for her research on ERP implementation challenges at Small and Medium Enterprises. Her research interests span ERP adoption, managerial and cross-cultural communication, business presentations, emotional well-being and the impact of social media on communication skills. She has published papers and case studies in national and international journals and has authored book chapters, book reviews, and newspaper articles.

Dr. Neetu teaches a wide spectrum of courses, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Managerial and Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Cross-Cultural Communication, Presentation Skills, Blockchain Basics, IT Security Audit and Governance and How to Build a Happy Life. Her international teaching experience includes serving as an Adjunct Faculty at Shanghai University, where she received the Outstanding Teacher Award (2017).

A strong advocate of student-centric and reflective learning, she integrates field-based exercises, case studies, simulations, role plays, and activity-based pedagogy to bridge theory and practice effectively.
She has designed and delivered training programs on leadership and communication for reputed organizations such as Meritor, Automotive Axles Ltd., Mypol, India Post, Karnataka Police Academy, Würth Elektronik, Sundaram Home Finance, Skanray Technologies and Kaynes Technology. She has taught cross-cultural communication to diverse international audiences from China, Spain, the USA, Portugal, Germany, the Middle East, and Africa.

A creative academic and changemaker, Dr. Neetu has initiated several impactful programs. She is an active member of the CII CSR and DEI panel. In partnership with CII, she initiated a symposium titled “Inspiring Women to Live Fulfilling Lives” focusing on well-being. An alumna of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, she earned her doctorate in Corporate Leadership from Visvesvaraya Technological University and further strengthened her academic foundation at Indian Institute of Management Indore. Dr. Ellur Anand is an Associate Professor in Operations and Quantitative Methods, bringing a rare and powerful blend of academic rigor and hands-on industry expertise. He has been associated with reputed institutions such as the Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Alliance University, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS), and Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology (MBA Program), contributing significantly to teaching, research, and academic processes.
Prior to his academic career, Dr. Anand spent five impactful years in the export and apparel industry, working with leading organizations including Perfect Knitters Limited, Richa Global, and Shahi Export House. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations & Supply Chain Management from IIM Mumbai, a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Concordia University, Canada—ranked among the top six Canadian universities for Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and globally ranked (~97th) in Industrial Engineering—and an MBA (Systems) from Bangalore University.

A dedicated researcher, Dr. Anand has made significant scholarly contributions in Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility, ESG integration, Circular and Closed-Loop Supply Chains, Industry 4.0/5.0, Smart Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Disaster Management. A Gold Medallist in his Master’s programme, he completed his doctoral studies with prestigious fellowships from the University of Mysore and the University Grants Commission (UGC). He is also a distinguished alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, reflecting his strong grounding in both analytical rigor and management excellence.

A passionate researcher, Dr. SLN’s scholarly interests span the application of advanced statistical methods across diverse domains, including Model Building, Text Analytics, Extreme Value Theory, Limit Theorems in Probability, and Data Analytics using R. His current research focus is aligned with the future of decision sciences—Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
