The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Quality Division of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, successfully organized the Quality Conclave–2026 on June 1 at the Sri Rajendra Auditorium, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru.
The event brought together visionary leaders, academic experts, and industry stalwarts to deliberate on embedding quality into the core of higher education.
🌟 "Quality is a moral responsibility, and ultimately, quality is about honouring trust." — Dr. Suresh B, Pro-Chancellor, JSS AHER, delivering the inspiring keynote address on the importance of accountability and continuous improvement.
🔑 Key Insights from the Conclave:
🧭 A Continuous Journey: Dr. Basavanagowdappa H (Vice-Chancellor, JSS AHER) presented the conclave overview, emphasizing that quality is a strategic imperative for excellence across education, research, healthcare, and societal service.
📊 Strategic Frameworks: Dr. Prashant M. Vishwanath (Dean - Research) highlighted the pivotal role IQAC plays in accreditation, quality assurance, and strategic planning.
🎓 Rankings & Decision Making: Dr. Maheshwar Peri (Founder & Chairman, Careers360) discussed how institutional rankings can actively enhance academic quality and help students make informed choices.

A powerful message on balancing our digital lives and building a meaningful future! 🎓✨

In a truly inspiring address, Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Vice Chancellor of JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, shared invaluable life lessons with the next generation of healthcare professionals. Beyond academics, he emphasized a modern necessity for our mental and physical well-being: Digital Detoxification.

In today's hyper-connected world, we are losing touch with genuine human connection. Dr. Basavanagowdappa shared a few simple, yet transformative strategies to reclaim our time and focus:

📵 No screens 1 hour before sleep to improve rest.

🌅 A tech-free first 30 minutes after waking up to start the day right.

🚶‍♂️ Take a 5-minute offline break for every hour of screen time.

🌿 Try one full tech-free day a week to practice mindfulness and rebuild stronger personal relationships.

He reminded us that children and those around us will emulate what we do, not just what we say. We must lead by example.

As he beautifully concluded the ceremony: "Success is not what you achieve for yourself, but what you inspire in others and what difference you make in the world."

We were delighted to welcome Sri A Badrinath Senthil Kumar, Community Pharmacist, Inwood Pharmacy, New York, USA, our respected mentor and guide to the Department of Pharmacy Practice, JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty during his recent visit to our institution. His invaluable contributions and support played a significant role in the development and strengthening of our department during its formative years.

During the visit, he interacted with our students and shared his rich academic and professional experiences, inspiring them to pursue excellence in community pharmacy practice and patient care. The session was highly motivating and informative for both students and faculty members.

We sincerely thank him for his continued encouragement, guidance, and enduring association with our department.
