Dinsha Patel College of Nursing (DPCN), Nadiad, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami (Dussehra) with traditional Vahan Pooja and festive celebrations on campus.

The IQAC and Vishaka Committee of Dinsha Patel College of Nursing organized a Self-Defense Training Programme on 17 October 2026 at KDPA, DPCN. The session was conducted by Mrs. Diptiben Parmar, ASI, Mahila Police Station, Nadiad.

A total of 196 students participated in the programme. During the session, the expert discussed real-life incidents , shared practical examples , and explained various self-defense techniques applicable to daily life. She demonstrated practical strategies to handle challenging and potentially unsafe situations, helping students understand how to respond confidently and protect themselves in emergencies.

The programme was informative and interactive, raising awareness about personal safety, self-confidence, situational awareness, and the importance of self-defense in everyday life.

World Mental Health Day Celebration 2026

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the “One Good Thing About Me – Positive Wall” activity was organized at DPCN on 10th October 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the aim of promoting positive self-esteem and mental well-being.

A total of 35 students actively participated in the activity. Green ribbons were distributed to faculty members and students, who also wore them to show their support for mental health awareness.

The evaluation was done by Mr. Kailash Nagar Sir and Ms. Neha Parmar Ma’am. The winners were:

- 1st Rank: Vanvir Gifty (FY GNM)
- 2nd Rank: Parthi Dhruvesh (4th Semester)
- 3rd Rank: Vankar Veronika (FY PB B.Sc. Nursing)

The activity was meaningful and successfully promoted mental health awareness, self-expression, and positivity among students.
