🔬✨ National Science Day Celebration at BGS Panchajanya Campus ✨🔬

BGS Model Public School, BGS College of Education and BGS PU College, jointly celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm and scientific spirit. The day commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by the eminent Indian scientist C. V. Raman, inspiring students to cultivate curiosity and innovation.

The programme began with a warm welcome address by K*m. Sinchana of Grade 10, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony symbolising knowledge and enlightenment.

✨ Highlights of the Celebration ✨
🔹 Sri V. Puttaswamy, Principal of BGS Model Public School, in his address emphasized curiosity, questioning, and scientific thinking. He encouraged students to become lifelong learners inspired by great scientists.

🔹 Smt. Shilpa T. N., Principal of BGS PU College, motivated students to focus on conceptual clarity and genuine understanding rather than rote learning.

🔹 Sri Gopal, B.Ed. Coordinator, highlighted that science is not just for scoring marks but is deeply connected to everyday life and practical application.

🔹 K*m. Varsh*tha, B.Ed. trainee, spoke about Indian women achievers in science and motivated students, especially girls, to pursue scientific careers.

🔹 Master Yashas Gowda B. R., Grade 10, shared his thoughts on the importance of science in building a sustainable and progressive future.

🔹 Smt. Vinutha Srinidhi, Science Teacher, delivered an insightful talk on the Raman Effect, explaining its scientific importance and why National Science Day is celebrated in honour of C. V. Raman.

🎭 A creative science skit by students of Grades 4 and 5 effectively presented scientific concepts in an engaging manner. Various classroom-based science activities further made the celebration interactive and experiential.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by K*m. Rishika of Grade 10. The event was confidently anchored by K*m. Chiranthana.

The celebration was graced by Smt. Shilpa T. N., Sri V. Puttaswamy, Smt. Dr. Shobha, and Sri Gopal, whose presence added dignity and inspiration to the occasion.

The day concluded with the inspiring words of C. V. Raman:
“Ask the right questions, and nature will open the doors to her secrets.”

The programme truly ignited scientific temper, curiosity, and innovation among students.

Jyothirdaan -The Graduation Day and Saraswati Pooja-2026 of Grade 10 was celebrated on 9th February 2026 at Yuvalaya – Auditorium,Sri Adichunchanagiri College of Pharmacy,in a grand and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The programme was divinely blessed by the presence of Poojya Mahaswamiji, Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandhanatha, whose Ashirvachana and sacred Jyothirdāna inspired students with wisdom, values, and spiritual light. 🪔🌟

Dr. Nandhini, Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta and Chief Guest, highlighted the importance of Samskara and strong values, noting that students are fortunate to study in institutions guided by Poojya Mahaswamiji.

Dr. N. Sridhara, Vice Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University, guided students on career opportunities, encouraging them to choose courses based on their interest and ability.

Dr. A. T. Shivaramu, Administrative Officer, administered the Graduation Day Oath, inspiring students to uphold integrity and responsibility.

Mr. Puttaswamy V, Principal, in his Graduation Day address, emphasized that character, discipline, and compassion define true success beyond marks.

Ms. Shilpa, Principal, graced the programme with her esteemed presence, adding value and encouragement to the occasion.

The programme was Beautifully anchored by 9th Grade students and graced by proud parents, the event stood as a meaningful blend of education, spirituality, and culture.

🇮🇳 77th Republic Day Celebration at BGS Panchajanya Campus 🇮🇳

BGS Model Public School, BGS PU College, and BGS College of Education proudly celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour.
The occasion marked the historic adoption of the Indian Constitution on 26th January 1950, reminding us of the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The celebration began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, welcomed with honour by the band troop, followed by a soulful invocation song “Vande Mataram” by the school choir. The dignitaries performed the lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem, filling the campus with pride and unity.

🔹 Keynote Address by Mr. V. Puttaswamy, Principal, BGS Model Public School, emphasizing responsible freedom, duties, and environmental conservation.

🔹 Student speeches in Kannada, Hindi, and English showcased confidence and patriotic spirit.

🔹 A melodious patriotic song by the school choir and B.Ed. trainees received huge appreciation.

🔹 Ph.D. awardees Dr. A C Devananda, Dr. M Shoba and Dr. Sowmya were felicitated, celebrating academic excellence and research contributions.

🔹 Chief Guest Mr. Shivakumar M. R., Naib Subedar, Indian Army, inspired students by highlighting the role of education, culture, and the armed forces in nation-building.

🔹 Presidential Address by Dr. A. T. Shivaramu, emphasizing students as future ambassadors of constitutional values.

🎭 Cultural Performances included a Mock Parliament, lezim, dumbbells & hoops, and energetic dance performances, beautifully reflecting discipline, talent, and love for the nation.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and was gracefully anchored by Miss Lipika and Miss Jagruthi (Grade 6).

The celebration ended on a proud and patriotic note, leaving everyone inspired to serve the nation 🇮🇳

ಆದಿಕವಿ ಪಂಪನಿಂದ ಸಶಕ್ತ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವು ಅಗಾಧವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅನುಭವ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಈ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ನದಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸುಧೀರ್ಘ ಪಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚೀಚೆಯಿಂದ ಜಲ ದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಿ ಸಾಗರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡಿತು, ಆ ಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲೊಂದು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಮುತ್ತು ಕುವೆಂಪು.

ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಮಾಡಲ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆ. ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಪಿ. ಯು ಕಾಲೇಜ್. ಮತ್ತು ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ದಿನಾಂಕ:29.12.2025 ರಂದು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕವಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಜಯಂತೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಮಾಡಲ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ವಿ. ಪುಟ್ಟಸ್ವಾಮಿ ರವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ನುಡಿಯನ್ನು ನುಡಿದು,ಮಗು ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ ವಿಶ್ವ ಮಾನವನಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ ನಂತರ ಸಮಾಜ ಆ ಮಗುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾತಿ. ಧರ್ಮ ಎಂಬ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕುತ್ತ ಅಲ್ಪ ಮಾನವನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಕುವೆಂಪು ರವರ ಆಶಯದಂತೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬದುಕಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಮಾಡಲ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯಾದ ಶುದ್ಧಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ;ಕುವೆಂಪುರವರ ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಬಿ ಜಿ ಎಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ಥಿಯಾದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ್ ಕುವೆಂಪುರವರ ಮಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮದುಮಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾನೂರು ಹೆಗ್ಗಡತಿ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಮರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತ ಅವುಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯ ವಿಭಿನ್ನತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕುವೆಂಪು ರವರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಸಮಾನತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಜಾನಪದ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿ. ಎನ್. ಮಂಜೇಶ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ನಾಗ ಮಂಗಲ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ದರ್ಶನ ಕೃತಿಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ; ಆಧುನಿಕ ಜೀವನದ ಭರಾಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಚಾರ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಹಿಂದೆಲ್ಲ ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಅಂದರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಹಬ್ಬ,ಜಾತ್ರೆ,ಶನಿದೇವರ ಕಥೆಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿರುತಿತ್ತು ಆದರೆ ಇಂದು ಆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸೊಗಡೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೆಲವು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯ ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿವೆ. ಮೂಡಲಪಾಯ ಎಂಬ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನದ ಬೇರು ಮೂಲತಃ ನಾಗಮಂಗಲದ್ದು ಎಂಬ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಮತ್ತೋರ್ವ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ನಾಗಮಂಗಲ ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಸಿ. ಆರ್. ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ; ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸುವ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ವಿಭಿನ್ನತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಆಚಾರ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು ಎಲ್ಲರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಬಿಜಿಎಸ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಟಿ ಎನ್ ಶಿಲ್ಪ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಕುವೆಂಪುರವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ದೆಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆಸಕ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಶೀಲರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸಮಯ ಪಾಲನೆ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ದ್ರಿಷ್ಟಿಕೋನ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಎವೆಲ್ಲ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸಾಧಕರಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಇಂತಹ ಮಹನೀಯರ ಆದರ್ಶ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಎಮ್. ಎನ್. ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ ಮೈಲಾರಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣ, ಇವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಆಡು ಮುಟ್ಟದ ಸೊಪ್ಪಿಲ್ಲ ಕುವೆಂಪು ರಚಿಸದ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವಿಲ್ಲ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಮಹಾಗುರು ಪುಟ್ಟಪ್ಪ;ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಜಲುಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪರಮ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ 59 ಕೃತಿಗಳು,12 ನಾಟಕಗಳು, ಎರಡು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳು, ಜ್ಞಾನಪೀಠ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಹಾಕೃತಿ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಾಯಣ ದರ್ಶನಂ ಬರೆದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಕವಿ ಕುವೆಂಪು ಎಂದು ಬಣ್ಣಿಸಿದರು. ಕುವೆಂಪು ರವರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶೂದ್ರ,ದಲಿತ,ಸ್ತ್ರೀ,ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ,ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಭಾಷಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಕೃತಿಕ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾ;ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕತೆ, ವೈಚಾರಿಕತೆ ಮೆರೆವ ನನ್ನ ಗೋಪಾಲ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಮೂಕವಿಸ್ಮಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಬಿ ಜಿ ಎಸ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಶಿಕ್ಷಣಾರ್ತಿಗಳು ಕುವೆಂಪು ವಿರಚಿತ ಬೆರಳ್ಗೆ ಕೊರಳ್ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಅದ್ಬುತವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮೆರಗನ್ನು ದುಪ್ಪಟ್ಟುಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀ ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ನ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಡಾ. ಎ.ಟಿ ಶಿವರಾಮು ರವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕುವೆಂಪು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಓದಬೇಕು ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಾಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಅವರ ಆದರ್ಶ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾಗಿ ಬಾಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ತಾಲೂಕು ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತು, ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಜಾನಪದ ಪರಿಷತ್ತು. ಇವರ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಾಗಮಂಗಲ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ದರ್ಶನ ಅನಾವರಣ.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಡೆದ; ನಾ ಕಂಡಂತೆ ನನ್ನೂರ ಹಬ್ಬ,ಶೀರ್ಷಿಕೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಖನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು; ಈಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ,ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಾಲೆಯ 25 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಉತ್ತಮ ಲೇಖನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಗಣ್ಯರ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

Report on Guest Parents’ Visit – 2nd December 2025

As part of its continued efforts to promote meaningful collaboration between the school and parents, BGS Model Public School organized a Guest Parent Visit on 2 December 2025. The programme was designed to provide parents with firsthand exposure to the school’s academic environment, daily functioning, and student-support facilities, while also offering a platform to share constructive feedback that contributes to students’ holistic development.

On this occasion, the school had the honour of welcoming the following esteemed parent couples:

Mr. Guru Prasad and Mrs. Meghana, parents of Miss Advika G and Master Advaith G of Grade 8.

Mr. Thirumalesh and Mrs. Kavya, parents of Miss Unnathi K. T. of Grade 9.

The guest parents were taken on a guided tour of the campus, during which they observed classroom interactions, student engagement, and the infrastructure and amenities that support a well-rounded educational experience.

Observations and Feedback

Mr. Guru Prasad and Mrs. Meghana expressed their happiness at being part of the Guest Parent Programme. They found the campus tour to be a delightful and enriching experience and conveyed their complete satisfaction with the school’s infrastructure, learning spaces, and overall facilities.

Mr. Thirumalesh and Mrs. Kavya appreciated the excellent facilities provided by the school and highlighted the wide range of extracurricular activities offered to students.
