Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Nagercoil Campus, organized a comprehensive Drug Awareness Programme on September 20, 2026, to educate students on the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society. The event featured an insightful “Say No to Drugs” address by the Principal on making responsible lifestyle choices, followed by a campus-wide Drug Awareness Pledge, where 895 students signed a dedicated Student Signature Wall to demonstrate their collective commitment. The programme concluded with an energetic student rally to spread awareness and encourage a healthy, drug-free lifestyle across the community.

A huge shoutout to all our first-year students who stepped up and showed their technical brilliance at the IEEE Membership Drive & TechQuest!

Organized by the IEEE Student Branch at Amrita Vishwavidyapeetham, School of Computing Nagercoil, the event saw incredible energy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills on display at Acharya Hall.

From testing technical knowledge to mastering logic and teamwork, our freshers proved they are ready to innovate and lead!

Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026

The Internal Smart India Hackathon 2026 was successfully organised by the Innovation Cell, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Nagercoil Campus, on September 7 & 8, 2026.

The event witnessed the participation of 94 teams from across all branches, providing a platform for students to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

Following the evaluation process, 45 teams were shortlisted and 5 teams were waitlisted for further consideration at the national level under SIH 2026.

The event reflects the campus’s continued commitment to fostering innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world problem-solving among students.
