The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, organized an insightful seminar on “Engineering to Excellence” at the Nagpur Institute of Technology (NIT), Nagpur, on 13 August 2026.

More than 200 enthusiastic students participated in the session, gaining valuable insights into professional excellence, innovation, leadership, technical competence and career opportunities in the engineering and defence production sectors.

The session was addressed by Shri Arun Kumar Thakur, Executive Director & OITC, NADP, and Dr. Surendra V. Gole, Professor, NADP.

The Officer-in-Charge, Shri Arun Rajendra Thakur, administered the Nasha Mukt Bharat Pledge to Officers, Staff, PGDM students and Contract Workers, reaffirming their collective commitment towards a drug-free society and a healthier nation.

Celebrating 80 Years of Independent India at NADP!

The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and a strong spirit of unity.

The celebrations brought together Officers and Staff, PGDM students, Contract Workers, and their family members. The National Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest, Shri Arun Rajendra Thakur, Officer-in-Temporary Charge, amidst the rendition of the National Song and National Anthem. The message of the CMD, Munitions India Limited, was also read out by Shri Girish Kumar Pal, Joint Director.

The occasion came alive with vibrant cultural performances featuring patriotic songs, dances, and acts celebrating the spirit of nationalism, inspiring everyone with a deep sense of pride, unity, and love for the nation.

As India celebrates 80 glorious years of Independence, NADP reaffirms its commitment to the ideals of freedom, service, excellence, and nation-building.
