On this proud occasion of Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, we salute the indomitable spirit, fearless leadership, and unwavering commitment to Swarajya of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. His courage continues to inspire generations to stand for dharma, justice, and self-respect.

संस्कृत श्लोक:
“शौर्यं तेजो धृतिर्दाक्ष्यं युद्धे चाप्यपलायनम्।
दानमीश्वरभावश्च क्षात्रं कर्म स्वभावजम्॥”

(Valor, radiance, determination, skill, never retreating in battle, generosity, and leadership — these define the true warrior spirit.)

May we carry forward his legacy of bravery and righteousness in every sphere of life.

जय भवानी! जय शिवाजी!

On World Cancer Day 2026, we stand united in hope, resilience, and action as we recognise that every journey with cancer is unique yet bound by our shared commitment to care, awareness, and compassion. This year’s theme, “United by Unique,” reminds us that while every story differs, together we can make a difference.

Education and awareness empower early detection and prevention, while empathy and support strengthen every step of the fight.
At Sikkim Alpine University, we honour those affected, salute the caregivers, and believe in informed action that saves lives.

Let’s walk forward with courage, spread knowledge, and build a healthier tomorrow.
United in action, unique in every life we touch.

Today, on National Wetlands Day, we recognize the critical role these ecosystems play as the "kidneys of the Earth." 🌏💧

Commemorating the signing of the Ramsar Convention on this day in 1971, we reflect on the immense value of wetlands—from filtering water and mitigating floods to acting as crucial carbon sinks in the fight against climate change.

Here in Sikkim, our unique high-altitude wetlands are fragile biodiversity hotspots supporting rare flora and fauna. At Sikkim Alpine University, we believe that understanding these complex ecosystems through rigorous research and education is the first step toward their preservation. Let us commit to learning more about and protecting these vital life-support systems.

On this solemn day, we remember the brave martyrs whose supreme sacrifice laid the foundation of our nation’s freedom, unity, and dignity. Their courage continues to guide generations toward duty, discipline, and राष्ट्रसेवा.
Warm Martyrs’ Day greetings from Sikkim Alpine University.
We salute the heroes who chose the nation above self and turned sacrifice into legacy.
“वीरभोग्या वसुंधरा”
This land thrives because of the brave.
“न हि त्यागसमं दानं न हि शौर्यसमं तपः।”
No donation is greater than sacrifice, no penance greater than valor.
May their lives inspire us to walk the path of सत्य, साहस और सेवा, and contribute meaningfully to राष्ट्रनिर्माण through knowledge and action.
We remember with gratitude.
We honour with responsibility.
We move forward with pride.
