At Ashoka Group of Schools, the Global Connect Program is designed as a year-long journey of meaningful global exposure. Grade 6 students explored the importance of accurate measurement through the vocational activity “Measure It Right” as part of their Cooking Without Fire learning experience.

Using measuring cups, spoons and weighing scales, students practised measuring ingredients with precision while following instructions and working collaboratively.

The hands-on activity helped them apply units and fractions in a real-life context, while developing observation, organisation, problem-solving, teamwork and confidence.

At Ashoka, we believe that nurturing a child’s growth also means nurturing the well-being of the adults who guide them. 💜

Parents of Grades 3–5 came together for a meaningful session on parental well-being and trusting their child’s individual journey. This session encouraged parents to reflect on creating a supportive, low-anxiety home environment where children can grow academically, emotionally and socially.

It also highlighted the importance of a strong parent-school partnership and moving from control and anxiety towards guidance, understanding and trust. 🌱

As part of the Hindi Diwas celebrations, our students of Grades 3–5 participated in an engaging 𝗛𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, showcasing their confidence, creativity and love for the language.

Our students brought their chosen stories alive through expressive narration and engaging performances. The competition provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their public speaking, language fluency and creative expression, while exploring stories that carry meaningful values and cultural richness.

The final round was judged by Mrs. Manjusha Prabhakar Bidwai, NMC School, Nashik, and Dr. Vijay Kumar, Educator, Ashoka Universal School, Ashoka Marg.

The spirit of 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶 came alive during a special morning assembly presented by Grade 4 students. Through a graceful Kathak performance on Ganesh Vandana and Ganpati Stotra, a lively skit depicting the birth of Lord Ganesha, and an energetic group dance, our young learners explored the traditions and values associated with the festival.

The assembly offered a beautiful opportunity to reflect on wisdom, respect for parents and the importance of unity, while experiencing our cultural heritage through music, dance and storytelling.

Around 20 parents joined us as special guests, making the celebration even more meaningful.💜🌺

As part of the Vocational Activity of our Grade VII students, they explored the fascinating world of Tie & Dye, discovering how simple techniques like folding, twisting, tying and binding can transform fabric into unique patterns.

Through engaging demonstrations, students were introduced to traditional techniques such as Bandhani, Leheriya and Shibori, while exploring their connection to Indian textile traditions.

This activity brought together art, science and vocational learning as students observed colour absorption, diffusion and mixing while developing precision, creativity and problem-solving skills.

More than creating colourful patterns, the experience encouraged students to see how textile skills can find applications in handicrafts, fashion and entrepreneurship. 🌱✨
