My thesis, Neighbourhood Development in Peri-Urban Pali, examines the significance of peri-urban zones as transitional regions between major urban centres, shaped by rapid growth due to their strategic location and inherent local potential.

It explores the limitations of single-purpose developments in addressing the complex needs of these evolving areas and proposes a mixed-use neighbourhood model as a more sustainable and integrated approach.

By responding to the existing pressures of urban expansion while addressing local developmental requirements, the project aims to establish a framework for planned peri-urban growth, offering a replicable direction for the future development of similar peri-urban regions across India.
