This Independence Day feels a little different. 🇮🇳

For the first time, we celebrate the freedom of our nation without Dr. D. Y. Patil among us. His absence is deeply felt, but so is the legacy he leaves behind.

He believed that true nation-building begins with education, and dedicated his life to creating institutions, empowering young minds, and serving society.

Today, as the Tricolour rises with pride, we remember a man who devoted his life to building a stronger India—one student, one institution, and one life at a time.

Though he is no longer with us, his vision lives on in every classroom, every student, and every life touched by his work.

This Independence Day, we remember him with gratitude, pride, and a promise to carry his legacy forward. 🇮🇳

A prayer meeting was held at D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai, in remembrance of Padma Shri Dr. D. Y. Patil (Dadasaheb), honouring his remarkable life, contributions and enduring legacy.

Family members, well-wishers and close associates gathered to pay their respects and offer prayers in his memory.
