Sarada Kurup College of Science and Commerce was established in the year 2008 - 2009 under the banner of Tilak Education Society with four full times graduation programmes. The courses provided are Bachelor of Commerce ( B.Com), Bachelor of Management Studies(BMS), Bachelor of Information Technology(B.Sc. IT), Bachelor of Computer Science (B.Sc. The college is fully equipment with the latest infra

structure and provides a library, computer lab, canteen, indoor gymkhana and audio visual room. Curriculum followed is as stipulated by Mumbai University with examination for the first two years is conducted by the college. The college timing is from 8am to 12.40 pm. The academic calendar is divided into two terms. The first time is from June to October and the second term is from November to April.

Under the guidance of IQAC, NSS Unit of S.K. College of Science and Commerce, in collaboration with Vande Maataram Pratishtan, Navi Mumbai, successfully participated in the historic 150 Years of Vande Mataram Celebration held on the occasion of India’s Independence Day on 15th August 2026, at Palm Beach Road, Navi Mumbai, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

The event brought together thousands of citizens and students from various colleges to commemorate 150 years of the Vande Mataram song and celebrate the spirit of India’s independence. 16 NSS volunteers from S.K. College of Science and Commerce, along with participants from other colleges, actively participated in the 8 km-long Human Chain in C Zone. The volunteers also contributed towards guiding participants and assisting with crowd management, ensuring the smooth and disciplined conduct of the event.

Under the guidance of IQAC, the Environment Committee of S. K. College of Science and Commerce successfully organized the “Eco-Tricolour: Celebrating Freedom, Growing Sustainability” initiative on 17th August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The activity aimed to combine the spirit of patriotism with environmental consciousness and sustainable practices. Students and staff enthusiastically participated by using eco-friendly Tricolour seed flags made from recycled paper. The initiative encouraged participants to celebrate Independence Day responsibly while reducing the use of conventional materials. After the celebration, participants were encouraged to plant the seed flags in flowerbeds at ground floor in college campus.

Tilak Education Society’s S.K. College of Science and Commerce, under the guidance of the IQAC and CECG, organized an expert session on “in AI Mastery: Building a Future-Ready Career Commerce” for the Second Year students of Commerce and Management on 11th August 2026 from 10:30 a.m. onwards. The session was conducted by Mr. Tushar Sakpal from Satyam Institute of Tax Accountant.
The session focused on creating awareness about the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in Commerce and Management, including AI tools, automation, data-driven decision-making, and emerging career opportunities.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and gaining practical insights into the applications of AI in commerce. Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and beneficial, helping students understand the importance of AI skills in building a future-ready career.

Under the guidance of IQAC, the NSS Unit of S.K. College of Science and Commerce (Autonomous) successfully organized a special Vande Mataram Singing Programme on 14th August 2026 at the college campus, as part of the spirit of national unity and patriotism.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and volunteers, who came together to celebrate the spirit of “One Nation • One Voice.” The participants beautifully showcased the Tricolour through coordinated formations, creating a powerful visual representation of unity, pride, and love for the nation. 🇮🇳

The collective singing of Vande Mataram filled the campus with patriotic fervour and reminded everyone of the values of unity, sacrifice, responsibility, and service to the nation.

Through this historic initiative, the NSS Unit encouraged students to actively participate in activities that strengthen the spirit of national integration and civic responsibility.

Under the guidance of IQAC, the S.E.H.T. Association of S. K. College of Science and Commerce successfully organized the Seed Flag Activity – Let Freedom Take Root on 14th August 2026 as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The activity aimed to promote patriotism while creating awareness about environmental sustainability and responsible citizenship. Students and staff enthusiastically participated by using eco-friendly seed flags made from recycled paper. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, participants were encouraged to plant the seed flags in gardens, planters, or pots and nurture them with care. The concept of transforming a symbolic national flag into a growing plant created a meaningful connection between the values of freedom and environmental responsibility. Participants appreciated the initiative and actively engaged in the activity. The initiative concluded with a commitment to nurture the planted seeds and promote greener practices in everyday life.

The orientation session witnessed the participation of *32 students from S.K. College of Science and Commerce and other colleges, providing them with an opportunity to learn about the work of **Akshara Centre* and the objectives of the *Youth for Change Programme*. Under the guidance of IQAC, the Rotaract Club of Tilak Education Society’s S.K. College of Science and commerce (Autonomous) successfully organized a Career Carnival on 11 August 2026 at 6th Floor Hall, from 10:00 a.m. onwards.
The event was organized with the objective of providing students with an engaging platform to explore various career opportunities, develop essential skills, and gain valuable insights into future professional pathways. The carnival encouraged students to participate actively in a team-based format, with three members in each team.
