Industry Connect Session on Exploring BI Tools.
Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Department of Information Technology successfully organized an engaging Industry Connect Session on “Exploring BI Tools” on 13 April 2026.
The session was delivered by Dr. Sagar Kulkarni, Senior Manager Learning & Development (L&D) at Capgemini, who shared valuable industry insights and practical knowledge with the students. The session focused on Snowflake, real-world Business Intelligence (BI) use cases, and included an interactive hands-on learning experience that enhanced students’ practical understanding of modern BI tools and technologies.

More than 50+ students actively participated in the session and gained the opportunity to connect their classroom concepts with real industry practices. Overall, the session proved to be a practical, insightful, and enriching learning experience, motivating students to explore advanced BI tools and strengthen their data analytics and industry readiness skills.

Entrepreneurship Cell & Institutes Innovation Council students & faculty Prof. Jagdish Mandhare, Prof. Swati Nadgaundi attended an insightful seminar titled “Roadmap to Government Funds” held at RCIIF, Kharghar. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Kiran Talele, who shared valuable knowledge regarding government funding opportunities available for startups and innovators. One of the key highlights of the seminar was the explanation of how to identify suitable government schemes. The speaker introduced various funding programs and explained the criteria for eligibility. This helped participants understand how to align their ideas with the right schemes.

The Department Advisory Board Meeting was successfully conducted by the Information Technology Department at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering on 11 April 2026 with the presence of distinguished members from academia, industry, alumni, and parent representatives.

Valuable academic insights were shared by Dr. Mahesh Shirole, while Mr. Vishal Dhure contributed practical industry perspectives. Alumni members Mr. Sushant Pokharkar and Mr. Aman Singh provided suggestions based on their professional experiences and recommended the implementation of hybrid internship opportunities, also assuring their support in facilitating internships for students. Dr. Maahi Khemchandani, representing the Computer Society of India, offered professional guidance during the discussions. Parent representatives Mr. Prashant Kamble and Mr. Sudhir Shinde expressed encouraging and supportive views toward student development.

Heartiest congratulations to our Second Year students Nirbhay Patil, Akshat More, Parth Maji, and Harsh*t, Department of Instrumentation, BVCOENM for securing Winner position in the Project Competition “SCOE Avishkar - 2026” held at Saraswati College of Engineering, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

The team developed an innovative project titled “SCADA 2.0 – IoT-Based SCADA System for Real-Time Applications”, showcasing excellent technical skills and practical implementation. Adding to this achievement, the students have also developed an IEEE-based research paper based on their project work. This remarkable accomplishment was achieved under the guidance of Prof. Ankush Gund.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai successfully organized a Parents-Teachers Meeting on 4th April 2026.The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, reflecting their strong commitment towards their ward’s academic journey. Faculty members engaged in one-on-one interactions, sharing insights on students’ attendance, academic performance, behavior, and co-curricular involvement.

Valuable suggestions were also provided to support students in enhancing their academic and technical growth. The meeting served as an open platform for parents to discuss concerns, understand the curriculum, examination patterns, and explore future career opportunities in Electronics & Telecommunication. Overall, the event was highly productive, strengthening the bond between parents and the institution while contributing to the holistic development of students.
