SIES successfully hosted SIES Alumnite 2026 on 21st March, bringing together its esteemed alumni for a day of reconnection, reflection, and collaboration.
The event commenced with alumni visiting their respective institutes, including the SIES School of Packaging campus at Juinagar, Navi Mumbai, where they engaged with faculty, interacted with fellow alumni of different batches, and revisited their academic journeys.
The celebrations then continued at the SIES Nerul Campus, where alumni from across batches came together for a larger gathering.
The occasion was a moment of immense pride for the institution, as faculty and mentors witnessed the accomplishments of their former students. The event also served as a dynamic platform for meaningful discussions on emerging industry trends, academic developments, and opportunities for future collaboration between industry, stakeholders, and academia.
SIES remains committed to strengthening its alumni network and fostering continued engagement that contributes to both academic excellence and industry advancement.

A landmark day for the packaging fraternity.
17th March 2026 marked the successful launch of the 1st Edition of the Indian Packaging Summit alongside the prestigious 9th SIES SOP Star Awards, hosted at CIDCO Convention Centre, Navi Mumbai.
Organized by SIES School of Packaging, the summit brought together industry leaders, innovators, and academicians for insightful discussions on emerging trends, sustainability, technological advancements, and evolving supply chain dynamics. The sessions, panel discussions, and interactions created a truly engaging platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge exchange throughout the day.

We were honoured to have Prof. (Dr.) Aniruddha Pandit as the Chief Guest and Dr. Harshawardhan Pol as the Keynote Speaker for the Indian Packaging Summit, whose perspectives set a strong tone for the event.
The evening celebrated excellence with the SIES SOP Star Awards, recognizing innovation and creativity across the packaging sector. The awards ceremony was graced by Padma Shri Prof. (Dr.) Ganpati Jadhav as Chief Guest and Mr. Jayesh Khimji Rambhia as Guest of Honour, adding immense prestige to the occasion. With 227 entries and participation from leading industry players, the awards highlighted the scale and impact of innovation in packaging

Two-Days Training on Chromatography and Spectroscopy was conducted for 9 postgraduate students from Department of Microbiology of SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sion (W) from 6th to 7th March 2026 at SIES School of Packaging - Packaging Technology Centre.
The workshop was led under the instruction of Dr. Vivek Parab where students were exposed to and provided hands-on experience on GC-FID, GCMS, HPLC, Ion Chromatography and FTIR.
The workshop covered different concepts of chromatography that helped the students to gain new skills.

One-day laboratory visit of the packaging testing laboratory was organised for 33 Second Year Post Graduate Students of Food Science & Nutraceuticals Department and Bioanalytical Science Department from Birla College, Kalyan was organized by SIES School of Packaging - Packaging Technology Centre on 16th February, 2026.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Pooja Gupta. The orientation, laboratory visit, explanation and demonstration on instruments was done by Ms. Sandhya Satyaraj and Dr. Vivek Sudhir Parab.
The students took a deep dive into the field of packaging analytics. Moving beyond the textbook, they participated in demonstrations of testing methods critical to food safety and transport durability.

Celebrating Industry Excellence and Global Partnerships, it was an honor to accept this award from a global leader in printing machinery and to share the vision of our Packaging Technology Centre with over 200 industry stakeholders.

24th Annual Convocation for Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging Science & Technology (PGDPST 2023 – 25), Graduate Diploma in Packaging Technology (GDPT 2024- 25) and Graduate Diploma Distance Learning (GDDL 2024 – 25) was held on 06th December 2025 at SIES School of Packaging - Packaging Technology Centre in the presence of Chief guest, Shri. S. Sunil Kumar, Dr. S.V. Vishwanathan, other esteemed guests, heads of SIES Institutions and all the faculty members of SIES School of Packaging.
SIES SOP wishes all the Graduates a successful career and a flourishing future ahead.

Polymerupdate Academy and the SIES School of Packaging - Packaging Technology Centre are hosting a focused two-day in-person training that brings materials, regulations, QC practices, and circular economy models together in one comprehensive program.

Across these sessions, you’ll explore sustainable packaging principles, understand EPR systems, learn how design choices impact performance and the environment, and see QC processes firsthand through a live facility walkthrough. The program is led by experienced faculty who work closely across industry and academia, ensuring every concept is grounded in real applications.

A 'One-day Chromatography and Spectroscopy Laboratory Visit' was conducted by SIES School of Packaging - Packaging Technology Centre for 20 Final Year B.Pharm students from Vivekanand Education Society's College of Pharmacy on 04th of September, 2025.
The laboratory visit was led by Vivek Sudhir Parab, Ph.D..
The visit was aimed towards students gaining practical insights into the working principle, handling and operation of Gas Chromatography instruments. Understanding these practical aspects will prove crucial for their academic and professional growth. Students were also given brief information about the analytical instruments used in packaging tests.

SIES School of Packaging participated at Anuga FoodTec India 2025 Exhibition & Conference held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon from 20th to 22nd August 2025. An opportunity to interact with businesses and customers and grow the network.
The Expert Zone at Anuga FoodTec India served as a dedicated knowledge hub offering consultations with industry experts on food packaging.
Anuga FoodTec India has been a pioneering force in the food and beverage processing industry. SIES School of Packaging is grateful towards Anuga FoodTec India for giving this opportunity.
