The students of Computer Engineering Department had been to an Industrial tour to BISAG (Bhaskaracharya Institute For Space Applications and Geo-Informatics), Gandhinagar on 2nd April 2026.

Around 44 students of semester 6 accompanied by 3 Faculty members had been a part of this enriching experience. At company site details of live projects and basic implementation and development techniques of projects were shown to the students. In addition, Students gets knowledge of how live broadcast of information as well as educational training take place with help of live camera was explained.

An educational industry visit was organized for the students of the Computer Engineering Department, GIDC Degree Engineering College, Abrama, Navsari, to the NETRAM Command and Control Centre, Navsari on 01st April 2026. The visit was arranged with
prior permission from the Command and Control in charge to provide students with practical exposure to modern surveillance systems and smart city technologies.

An educational industry visit was organized for the 1st year students of the Computer Engineering Department, GIDC Degree Engineering College, Abrama, Navsari, to the Cyber Crime Police Station, Navsari on 01st April 2026. The visit was arranged with prior permission from the concerned authority to provide students with practical exposure to cyber security and cyber crime investigation.

GIDC Degree Engineering College successfully organized a two-day Technical Symposium – UDAAN’26 on 20–21 February 2026, with enthusiastic participation from 800+ students 🎓✨.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. H. S. Patil, Principal, in the presence of distinguished industry experts Shri Pankaj Trivedi, Shri Jayang D. Shah, and Mr. Aditya Vashi.

The GDEC Fine Arts Club organized a Sketching Competition at GIDC Degree Engineering College on 17th February 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Participants creatively expressed their visualisation skill by impressive sketches and artistic illustrations. The competition provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their artistic talent and convey meaningful messages through art.

The Women Development Cell of GIDC Degree Engineering College, Navsari organized an inspiring social and educational visit on 31 January 2026.

Students and faculty visited Gandhighar Kacholi – School for Deaf Students, where participants experienced meaningful interaction through sign language and lip-reading, promoting empathy, inclusivity, and social awareness. The visit highlighted the creativity, strength, and determination of specially-abled students.

The team also explored Dandi Beach, learning about the historic contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and spreading awareness about environmental conservation and responsible tourism.

The visit was a memorable step towards nurturing humanitarian values, historical awareness, and holistic student development.
