"Tolerance isn't about not having beliefs. It's about how your beliefs lead you to treat people who disagree with you."
- Timothy Keller

Every year November 16 is celebrated as the International Day for Tolerance to help spread tolerance as a staple of society.
On November 16, 1995, UNESCO declared a year of tolerance. The day is marked as the anniversary of that declaration to raise awareness of any intolerance that may still be prevalent in the world today. It is believed that we should be tolerant each day but it is always a good idea to have one occasion just to remind us the importance of tolerance.
Tolerance goes beyond merely accepting the other, it must be nurtured to act on it. The goal is to build societies founded on respect for human rights, where fear, distrust and exclusion are replaced by participation and respect for differences.

“We need to make equal pay and equal opportunity for women and girls a reality so women's rights are human rights once and for all." - Hilary Clinton

Equal pay for women is imperative for the mission of achieving gender equality. When women are paid less, their skills and accomplishments are undermined and minimised. No matter how qualified a woman is, a man will still be preferred for the same job and will receive better treatment due to gender bias. The pattern of expecting hard work without proper financial compensation persists until adulthood as women begin searching for jobs. It’s time that society stops underappreciating women and their contributions and starts telling them that they are not worth less than a man.

This year, Equal Pay International Coalition (EPIC) would emphasize upon some of the pay transparency measures being implemented in various countries, including various responses and tools to fundamental questions. Leaders hailing from different nations, as well as representatives of employers’ and workers’ organizations will assemble to discuss the merits and demerits of some of the pay transparency measures, their actual and potential effectiveness on decreasing the gender pay gap, and consequently, wider gender inequalities in the labour market. Cairo Eubanks, Youth Representative of the New Future Foundation International Civil Society and Member to the United Nations would be the moderator. The panellists would include various government representatives and members of different international humanitarian agencies.

"Conservation is the state of harmony between men and land." - Also Leopold
The annual World Nature Conservation Day is celebrated on July 28. On this day, it is emphasised how important it is to protect the environment and natural resources in order to preserve a stable and healthy society. One of the main aims of World Nature Conservation Day is to save species of plants and animals that are in danger of going extinct. The festivities also place a strong emphasis on preserving nature's different elements, including its flora, animals, energy supplies, land, water, and air. World Nature Conservation Day also emphasises the need of protecting the environment for coming generations. Therefore, it is our responsibility to leave a healthy planet for future generations to enjoy.
HISTORY OF WORLD NATURE CONSERVATION DAY

Natural vegetation and other resources have suffered greatly as a result of human activity over the past century. Climate change and other environmental effects are results of the race for rapid industrialization and the clearing of land for population growth. Even while environmental conservation has received more attention in recent years, there is still a long way to go until effective measures bear fruit. The necessity of protecting the environment has grown more obvious recently. The persistent overuse of resources by humans has caused strange weather patterns, habitat degradation for wildlife, species extinction, and biodiversity loss. Sadly, this is the standard everywhere. It is crucial to support groups like the International Union for Conservation of Nature (I.U.C.N.).

GREEN LIVING
Green living, also known as sustainable living is a way of life that aims to minimise how much a person or society uses both their own resources and the natural resources of the planet. In actuality, it is concerned with making minor and large-scale lifestyle decisions that are consistent with the Earth's carrying capacities while preserving (or occasionally even enhancing) our standard of living. On your path to a more sustainable life, you may find yourself asking questions such as:
"Why have I been doing it this way?"
“Is this really something I need?”

"Why have I been doing it this way?"

"Can I get the same result using something I already have?"

"Is there a product I can switch to that doesn't have chemicals in it?"

Questions are good! Clean, green living requires being conscious of your consumption.

One of the most crucial—and straightforward—things you can do to support environmental protection is to use renewable energy, but it's not the only one. Here is your go-to green living manual: quick, effective advice to help you lead a more sustainable lifestyle. It is highly beneficial to have solid, trustworthy information on which behaviors are sustainable and which are not, as well as -more crucially - which acts will benefit us most and should be prioritized, in order to make sustainable choices.

The Earth is what we all have in common" -Wendell Berry

International Mother Earth Day is an annual event which is celebrated to raise awareness about the increasing environmental pollution and the need to preserve the resources for future purposes. The theme for International Mother Earth Day 2022 is “Invest In Our Planet.” The key point here is to act in a bold way, innovate in a broad way and implement in an equitable manner.
It’s time to take the benefit of a green economy by adopting it. All governments need to encourage society, institutions, and businesses to build a framework for supporting a stable future.
