DMS, ever since its inception has been growing in strength and stature, gaining from the synergy provided by the rich technological and intellectual environment of the multi-dimensional academic programmes which has been the hallmark of the IIT system. It has been rated amongst the Top Business Schools of the country.The students, once admitted through a very rigorous process of selection, receive

inputs through class room training, research projects and industry interaction. From 2015, DMS has opened admissions to graduates from all fields - Arts, Commerce, for its DLM course, moving away from its earlier constraint of only Engineering graduates being allowed.

The Media and Public Relations Cell of DMS, IIT Delhi successfully hosted a session of DISHA ’26 featuring Ms. Deeksha Anand, Product Marketing Manager at Google, on “India-First GTM Strategy for Emerging Markets.”

We thank Ms. Deeksha Anand for sharing practical insights through case studies of Uber vs Rapido, Meesho, Urban Company, Razorpay, and Netflix, highlighting how brands succeed in India despite challenges like low trust, price sensitivity, infrastructure gaps, messy payments, and language diversity.

We sincerely thank Prof. Ashish Kumar Jha for delivering such an insightful and engaging talk on “Academic Careers Outside India”.
He provided a comprehensive perspective on how academia functions across different countries, shedding light on structural differences, expectations, and opportunities in global academic systems. His detailed discussion on post-doctoral opportunities, how to identify, approach, and successfully secure them — was especially valuable for research scholars and aspiring academics.
The session was both enlightening and practical, offering clarity, direction, and inspiration to many of us considering international academic pathways.
